⁂VALERIE WAS IN HER room, cleaning the dry blood off her wrist and chin. She was glad she didn't get any blood of her clothes so she didn't have to change. She was in deep thought and didn't hear footsteps outside her door. A knock on the door brought her back into reality. Valerie sighed before standing up and walking towards her door, opening it to revel a nervous looking Alec. "Hey."
Valerie moved out of the way so Alec could enter. She closed the door behind Alec. "Hi."
Alec sat down on the edge of Valerie's bed. "How are you holding up?"
"I'm doing fine." Valerie sat down next to Alec. She bit her lower lip. "Alec, if you have gotten here in time, I—" Valerie stopped herself afraid she would start crying, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again. "I'm glad... I'm glad you and Jace are doing okay."
She heard about the fight between Jace and Alec when she tried ignoring it. Alec got mad at Jace because he was helping a Downworlder. Alec smiled at Valerie . "I didn't do this for Jace." Alec grabbed her hand. "I did this for you."
Valerie smiled at him. She then wrapped her arms around his waist and Alec wrapped his arms around her. "Thank you." Alec nodded his head, he didn't say anything.
The two stayed like that for a while. Until Magnus barged into the room to tell Valerie that her twin wanted to talk to her. So he handed her his tablet and left the room. Alec said he will go talk with Magnus so she could talk to her twin in private. She kissed him on the cheek and he left —after closing the door behind him. Clary is in a different room with Luke, she was suppose to leave but stayed, Luke wanting to talk to Clary about Valentine and her mother.
Valerie used her hearing to make sure Alec was downstairs before she typed in Klaus' number. It ringed a few times before Klaus' picture appeared on the screen. His light brown curly hair and bright blue eyes. She smiled brightly at him. "Niklaus..."
Klaus smiled at his twin. "Valerie, look how beautiful you are. It's been too long." Valerie smiled at Klaus' accent.
The Mikaelson's have accents. All of them do. Even Valerie. But when she came to New York, she took English lessons and she was able to get rid of her accent. Occasionally, it will slip through.
"Nicky, you look so handsome." Valerie smiled at him and he smiled back. Valerie's smile fell and tears clouded her vision. "I miss you."
Klaus frowned. "I miss you too. Don't cry, Little Wolf."
Valerie wiped her tears and chuckled at the nickname. "How's Finn? Kol? Rebekah? Elijah?"
