Giggles were the only sound exiting from the teenaged girl's mouth as her friend's fingers danced around on her stomach, stimulating a ticklish feeling on her skin. She used her knees and feet to try to block the incoming tickles since he had her hands pinned above her head.
"Jordan," she squealed through her involuntary laughter.
Her frustrations amused him, encouraging his laughter. He eventually released her hands from his grip while discontinuing his tickles and removing his body from hovering over hers with his lips curled up into a smirk as a way to hide his chuckles.
"Oh, you think it's funny," she remarked while narrowing her eyes at him.
His smirk never left his plump, pink lips as he ran his tongue over them, preparing to sweet talk her. "It's always funny torturing you. Besides, you enjoyed it. You laughed," he replied while nudging her with his elbow.
She rolled her big brown eyes at his antics while pursing her glossy lips. She had grown used to his childish ways over the years of their short lived friendship. The pair met each other their sophomore year of high school after discovering they shared the same birthday. This isn't the only thing they bonded over. The two bond over and share the love of numerous subjects, such as music, movies, shoes, food, and even future goals but the only thing they couldn't quite see eye to eye on was the importance of school.
"Hey, did you do the packet over chapter 7 in stats," he questioned.
She furrowed her eyebrows together and pushed a chunk of her curls behind her ear while chuckling lightly. "That was due last week..."
He shrugged his shoulders and nodded. "Yeah, I know that. I still need it."
"Jordan," she sighed while reaching for her backpack on the side of her bed. "You need to start doing your work or the next time I'm letting you take that zero."
He smacked his lips while leaning forward to watch her remove the papers from her bag. "Thank you and I'll start doing my work. I promise."
"You said that last time," she murmured while handing him the packet.
"I know, I know. But this time I mean it," he responded with a smile.
She nodded her head while twisting her lips to the side before glancing at the clock hanging on her wall, reading the time. She mentally cursed herself at the thought of her boyfriend and Jordan crossing paths. Her boyfriend, Sean, hated the fact that her and Jordan were such close friends but he respected it enough to not complain about it too much. His hatred for their friendship comes with the thought of Jordan being in love with her. As much he tried forcing that thought away for the sake of Sabrina's feelings, he couldn't seem to shake it because sometimes Jordan oversteps that friendship boundary with the way he looks at her and the way he touches her.
"Hey, Jay, Sean is gonna be here any minute," she announced while standing up from her bed and turning to look at Jordan, hoping he'd catch her drift.
"Oh. I guess that's my queue to go, huh," he responded while grabbing his backpack from the floor. He moved from his seat on her bed while slinging his bag over his shoulder, standing up straight. "I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow," he added before heading toward the door of her bedroom.
"Text me when you get home," she called after him as he walked across the threshold of her door.
He shook his head while rolling his eyes before walking down the stairs of her home just as Sean was climbing them. The two met eyes for a brief moment.
"Wassup, Jay," Sean spoke while sending him a head nod.
"Sup, Sean," Jordan replied, sending the same head nod as he walked past him on the stairs.
Jordan was well aware of Sean's opposition toward their friendship and he knew why but he didn't blame Sean for it because deep down inside he knew he loved Sabrina. He envied Sean for being able to love her the way he wished he could but he had to respect the fact that the two knew each other way before Sabrina and Jordan even met. He respected their relationship enough to keep his feelings buried away but he didn't know how long he could do that because lately all that was on his mind was her.
