A roll of the eyes emitted as a reaction from the obviously jealous Jordan as a set of pictures flashed across his screen that consisted of a laughing and cuddling Sean and Sabrina. His thumb subconsciously went straight to the first picture, instantly double tapping his screen to zoom in on the face of Sabrina. She looked quite happy and content, but in Jordan's mind she was miserable. He believed she wished the person with their arms wrapped around her were his when in actuality that was not the case. A smile spread across his lips as he admired her beauty. Something that he often daydreamed about. She was the apple of his eye, and that blinded him to the fact that she only saw him as a close friend. The pair often flirted which led him on to believe there was something going on between them, but it was only harmless in Sabrina's eyes.

"Jordan," a soft voice sung from behind him.

He quickly closed out of the Twitter app and sat up on the couch, turning around to glance at the fairly familiar person — Sabrina.

"I was just thinking about you, too," he said with a laugh to hide the seriousness in his tone.

A wide smile spread across her lips at his words as she stepped around his couch and took a seat beside him. "How sweet," she cooed while resting her hand on his cheek for a brief moment before setting her hand in her lap. "So, what are you up to?"

He let out a brief sigh with a subtle smile curling upon his lips while looking up at the television embedded on one of the four walls in his living room. "Just catching up on, uh, Grown-ish."

She lifted her head before dipping it into her chest, admiring him through her lashes. "I thought you said you didn't watch that show."

Switching his eyeballs between the screen and the face of his companion, perched lips laced his features. "I've been caught." He shrugged his shoulders with his bottom lip being caught between his teeth.

She let out a soft giggle, leaning back against the couch and setting her eyes on the television. "Well go on with your show. I will sit here quietly."

He looked over at her with a face of disbelief before picking up the remote and pressing play on the program, moving his attention to the center of the room. He let the program play for a few minutes before pressing pause once again.

"I can't concentrate with you in here. I'll just finish it later. What's up?" He turned his body to face her with his elbow resting on the back of the couch. "You obviously popped up over here for a reason."

Sabrina glared at Jordan before clearing her throat and letting a sigh follow after. She sat in silence with her eyes locked on the cushions of the couch. Jordan grew concerned with his eyes searching hers for any answer to the question setting off in his mind. In moments like this, he knew it was something serious. Not even just serious but hard because Sabrina was not the silent type. She was quick to tell you whatever was on her mind but she failed to talk about her emotions. The hesitation in her speaking let Jordan know this was going to be a conversation that pertained to how she felt.

"You remember that time me and Sean broke up?" She looked up from the cushions, giving Jordan her undivided attention.

'How could I? That was the best time of my life,' he thought to himself. "Uh, yeah. That time earlier in the school year."

Sabrina nodded. "Yeah...yeah. I just found out that he slept with Alexandra during that break..."

There was a long pause between the pair. Jordan was at a loss of words. The importance of who Sean slept with was the fact that Alexandra was one of Sabrina's inner circle friends. Those girls had been friends since middle school. They weren't the closest but they had sleepovers, they called each other, they texted, they hung out, they were just there for each other. For her to betray her this way was definitely hurtful.

"Who told you? How'd you find out? Did you talk to either of them about it?"

Sabrina sighed while slouching back against the couch and staring at the tv in front of them, failing to make eye contact with Jordan.

"I overheard her in the locker room. She was saying something about how she regrets doing it even though it happened so long ago. When I confronted her about it she was so apologetic but it's like you've been in my face and you fucked my boyfriend behind my back? That's low!"

"Well...how are you feeling about it?"

Those words didn't quite penetrate. Sabrina was not the type to discuss how she was feeling. She let her emotions just resonate within her. As a child, Sabrina felt like her feelings were never truly validated or allowed to be expressed so she learned an unhealthy coping mechanism by never discussing them. Jordan tried not to bother her too much about it but he wanted her to know that how she felt meant a lot to him.

"I don't know. I just want to move on from it. It's whatever. It happened."

"Well they both lied to you about it and hid it from you. I'm sure you feel more than just that."

Sabrina just sighed. She knew Jordan was right but she loved Sean too much to just let him go. Besides this is high school. It wasn't like she was looking forward to marriage with him. She just wanted somebody to fulfill her current needs. In her mind, Sean was the only guy for that.

"Yeah..."

"How about I take you out for some ice cream then, hm?"

He smiled in her direction while reaching to grab her hand and giving it a light squeeze. Sabrina looked up at him with a smile that she tried to force away but couldn't hide. She sighed while pulling her hand away from his and resting it on his cheek, brushing her thumb against his skin.

"You are so sweet, Jordy. Whatever girl gets you will be the luckiest woman on earth but I promised Sean we'd go to dinner and talk. I just wanted to stop by and talk with you about it first."

'We didn't talk about it, though. Plus you could be that lucky lady. You just don't see it.' Jordan thought to himself. Of course he couldn't say that out loud. He just smiled and nodded.

"Okay. Good luck with dinner."

Sabrina smiled while rising out of her seated position and standing on her feet. "Thank you. I'll call you when it's over." She began her journey to the front door as Jordan followed behind her. "Alright. See you later, Bri."

She looked back at him as she opened the door with a soft smile before walking out and heading to her car. Jordan watched her until she got in and drove off. He closed the door and sighed. He returned to his living room and shut off the tv before turning on his Bluetooth speaker and connecting it to his phone. He instantly started playing Mario's Let Me Love You.

"Baby, I just don't get it. Do you enjoy being hurt?"

He sung along to the words while dancing around in his socks. He couldn't help his feelings but this was own fault for never speaking up on them. To him, she wouldn't be with Sean if he had just told her how he felt.

"One day.."
