*Lisa's POV*

“Hey babe, wake up. We're home.” Dave says as he is shaking my leg. I open up my eyes and see Lauren's head in my lap. Then I remember everything she told me. Dad. Dad was drunk again.
“Lauren, hey. We are home, wake up.” As she woke up I saw fear in her eyes. “It'll be alright Lauren, don't worry. Just go to our room immediately.” I say and she nods.

I've no idea how I am going to survive this, but I'll see. I open the front door and sigh as I walk in. The second I walk in dad runs to me and grabs my wrists. “Where the heck were you, you little bitch?” He yells. “I-I was with Dave, I've told you before I left.” I say.
“Don't freaking lie to me. You didn't tell me.” He says.
“Hey, calm down. Don't call her a bitch. It's your daughter okay.” Dave says to him as he releases me from dad's grip.
“What the fuck did you just say to me?” He yells at Dave. “I say whatever I want to say. Don't try to fucking stop me. I can't help it that your mom left you alone here.” He continues. The last thing hurt him a lot.
“Don't call my girlfriend a bitch. She clearly isn't. She's the most wonderful girl/woman in this world.” He says. I'm so proud that he stood up for me, but he has no idea in how much danger he is bringing himself now.
“DON'T FUCKING TELL ME WHAT TO DO.” Dad yells at him. I was walking away to grab my phone and call mom, when I heard dad cracking his knuckles. This means that you've to get out of his way, or he will punch you. I turn around and see dad punching Dave in his face.
“NO. DAD. STOP.” I scream, but he doesn't listen to me. What am I supposed to do? He keeps punching and kicking him.

I grab my phone and dial mom's phone number.
“MOM, YOU NEED TO GET HOME. NOW!” I basically scream into my phone.
“Sweetie, calm down. What's wrong?” She asks. I don't know how, but her voice makes me so calm.
“Dad.” I say, hoping she will get it.
“Okay, be there in a few minutes.” She says.

When I turn around, I see that dad has left. Dave is on the ground with a lot of blood around him.
“DAVE.” I say as I run up to him.
“L-Lisa, I-I love you a lot.” He says and he starts crying.
“Dave. I love you too.” I say. His breathing starts to slow down.
“NO. DAVE, STAY WITH ME. DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE. PLEASE.” I cry. I grab my phone and dial 911.

“911, what's your emergency?” I hear the woman on the other side.
“M-my b-boyfriend. He got punched in his face and there's a lot of blood. And his breathing starts to slow down. Please send an ambulance, he won't survive it if you don't come. Please come.” I say desperately.
“Okay madam. What's your address?” She asks. I answer as I hear mom coming home.
“Madam, I need you to stay on the phone and keep me up-to-date about his breathing. The ambulance is on its way, they'll be there in 5 minutes if not sooner. I want you to stay next to him and try to put a towel on his wounds. If it's a cut, wrap the towel as tight as possible around it.” She says clearly.
“Okay.” I answer. “Mom, I need towels. Now.” She runs upstairs to get some towels.

I hear footsteps coming downstairs, I turn around and see it's Christina.
“What's going on here?” She asks.
“Christina.” I cry as I run up to her and hug her.
“What has happened?” She asks.
“Dad.” I answer, I hear her sigh.

“Lisa, here are the towels, what do I have to do with them?” Mom asks.
“Wrap them tightly around his cuts and put them on his wounds.” I answer.
“Are the ambulances almost here? They need to hurry up. Please.” I ask.
“Madam, they are almost there, I need someone to get outside and look out for the ambulance and lead them in your house.” She answers.
“Christina, can you do something for me?” I ask her.
“Of course, what is it?” She answers.
“Go outside and look out for the ambulance and bring them up here.” I say.
“Okay, sure.” She says and runs out of the house.

“Please, Dave. Stay with me.” I grab his wrist and try to feel his heartbeat.
“MOM, HIS HEARTBEAT, I HARDLY FEEL IT. DO SOMETHING.” I yell while crying.
“Lisa, ssst calm down. The ambulance is almost here, they will help him. I need you to calm down and stay strong for him.” Mom says as she's hugging me.
“I can't lose him, mom. We were finally back together. Everything was okay, we had an amazing night and why is dad always ruining everything?”
“I'm sorry sweetheart. I truly am.” She says.

“Lisa, they are here.” Christina says as she runs inside. I hug her as I see them putting Dave on the gurney.
“Can I please go on the ambulance?” I ask them.
“Ok.” They answer.
“We will follow you with mom's car.” Christina says.

“Christina, you have to wake up Katherine and Mike jr. and tell them they have to take care of the kids and ask if they can clean up the blood.” Mom says.
Christina runs upstairs as I step into the amublance to make the worst ride of my life.

"Will he make it?" I ask the doctor as we arrive at the hospital.
"Can't promise you. The only thing I can promise is that I'll try as hard as I can." The doctor answers. "But for now, please wait here, until I can tell you more about him." He continues.
I nod and sit down on the chair and start crying again. He needs to survive it. I grab my phone out of my bag and go on twitter.
"@LisaCim: I need you all to pray for Dave, please. I love you all so much <3333."
I immediately get a lot of replies with people praying for Dave. I also got some nasty replies, but I decide to just ignore them.

"Hey Lisa, how is Dave?" I look up and see mom. I run up to her and hug her and start crying again.
"I don't know mom. The doctor said he can't promise that he will make it. We need to pray for him." I answer as I hear the door open.
"Are you family of Dave?" I look up and see the doctor.
"I'm his girlfriend, and they are my mom and sister. Do you have any news?" I ask. Hoping for a good answer.
"Yes." He answers seriously.
