It has been day two of living with Dexter. It sounds like a cheesy tv show. My life might as well be.

I feel as if he thinks I like him. I'm not fully sure.

He rubbed up against my shoulder, and not just the usual accidentally flirt rub, it was a full on move.
I can't bring myself to tell him the truth but he's leaving in two days which means I don't have to worry about him.

After cringing over the thought of Dexter and I, don't get me wrong he is attractive but not my guy, I finally make it to the set for the short film.

I step down from the car and automatically regret not bringing a sweater. I run up behind a huge tent and wait for he wind to slow down before running into the building.
When I make it inside, I search for the actors.
They are all huddled around the food table.

"Vanessa?!" My eyes bounce through the crowd like a pinball racing through its course.

"Over here." I turn around and see Ness leaned against the wall. Her beanie nearly covering half her face and her flannel stretching down to her thigh.

"Good morning!" I hug her and she hugs me back. Her skin is cool, which is unusual considering she is always warm. "Everything okay?"

She shrugs, "I'm still not over the fact that she is deflowered." She huffs and the smoke dancing from her tea is blown in my face.

"Oh. Yeah, I'm sorry...Did you tell your mother?" She shakes her head and sips her hot drink, her skin darken as if the tea threw splashes of color on her.

"I'm sure she will know by just looking at her. It's too obvious." I remember my mother rushing at me and looking me in the eyes once I walked through the door. Her pupils filled with worry.

"I can relate." Ness frowns and pulls up her beanie.

"Oh, no. Don't feel sad. Stuff happens. You can only take it and learn and move on." I smile. "There are much more important things in life." She looks up as someone calls her name, "Like the film, be right back...I'll talk to you after the scene, yeah?" I nod and she runs off getting in her costume and makeup.
...

I watch as she stands in the back of the crowd, waiting for her cue. She is ready, this is what she has waited her whole life for. To act, small films or big ones...she's ready. Her character pushes through the crowd and crawls on the floor, cradling Joey's character in her arms. Her tears stream down her face and her breathing speeds up. Damn she's good.

As I study her techniques and movements, my phone ringer goes off. I run towards to the nearest hall and click the silent button, luckily it didn't ruin the filming. I answer it right away and hear a deep voice shout through the speakers,

"Hey!!!" I pull the phone away and rub my ear.

"Why are you screaming?"

"What's up buddum?" It's Dexter...only he calls me buddum even though I have known for only a few days now.

"Filming...like I said this morning." I chuckle. He replys with an over-exaggerated ohhhhhh.

"Is there anything you need in particular?" I remind him that he called me.

"Yeah...I was wondering if you wanted to catch a film?"

"Umm...sure?" I walk towards the table that holds the snacks and grab a glazed donuts. I once got a major migraine from eating a whole bunch of these things. I place the donut down and wipe the excess dust off my fingers.

"You don't seem too sure." I can picture his frown...his little bottom lip popping out of him mouth.

"Sorry, I'm just concentrating on the film." I lie. "What time?"
