My heart was always open

looking to support you,

guide you,

be there for you,

anyone who felt forsaken.

Til' too many feet

trampled it,

compacting it into dust.

Now my heart beats

with vigilance.

Protecting with patience.

To those who have torn me to bits,

what you could never guess

is that those tiny bits

have put my heart together like a mosaic.

Now with my revived

alluring mosaic heart

I have learned,

those who hurt me

can only cause my love to grow...

Author's Note:

Hey guys, so I won't be updating my other stories for a while. Although I will be frequently updating this book, because without poetry I honestly don't know where I'd be. This one is especially meaningful to me, because it tells my story. This poem, Bordered Heart, and Fields of Beauty tell my story recently. I had been hurt so bad that I never thought I'd be able to say I love you to somebody for a very long time. Until this amazing person came into my life and showed me what love was. Now even though I've been hurt in the past I'm stronger now. Thanks for reading this book, and this loooonnnggg AN.

Bye guys, stay #fcute!
