Justin and Jason are there for their 5 year old son when his goldfish dies and it's time to flush the goldfish down the toilet.
-Jason's POV-
"Daddy, help me," yelled my five year old son, causing me to get out of my seat on the couch and run towards the kitchen where my 3 year was.
"What's wrong baby?" I asked in a rush once I entered the kitchen.
"We gotta feed the fishy, daddy." Said Joseph, my five year old son.
"But he's sleeping daddy. Wake him up." He said while pointing towards the fish tank causing me to advert my eyes towards it.
I gasped once I saw that the fish was floating at the top. He wasn't sleeping, he was dead.
"Buddy." I started, not sure on how to tell my five year old son that his very first pet has died.
"Yes daddy?" He asked me while looking up at me with big, wide, innocent eyes, making me not want to tell him. I don't want to see my little prince cry.
"Your fish is um, you see buddy..." I trailed off, not knowing how to tell him.
"Daddy, please hurry, fishy hungry, we gotta wake him up," Pouted Joseph, looking back at his fish.
"Why don't you just put his food in the bowl, maybe he will wake up when he smells his food," I said making Joseph nod and grab the food for the fish.
Once he got it, he came to me and made grabby hands since he couldn't reach the tank. We decided to put the tank on a top place so Joseph wouldn't knock it down.
I picked Joseph up and led him to the tank.
He opened the lid and dropped some food into the tank. Once he did, he shut the lid again and I put him back down on the ground. He walked over to a cubby and put the food back where it belongs.
"Imma go play until dad comes back ." He said making me nod.
He went upstairs into his bedroom and started playing with his toys while I sat down in the living room, waiting for my husband, Justin, to come back home. He was currently at a meeting for his new album and discussing things about it while I took a break from my job today to take care of Joseph since Justin is the one who is mostly home. And when he does go to work, he can take Joseph unlike me. We don't want to get Joseph a nanny. We want to raise him not some random stranger.
-1 hour later-
As I was watching Jane The Virgin on Netflix, Justin walked through the front door and walked over to me.
"Hey baby," he greeted me while he sat down beside me and gave me a peck on the lips.
"Hi babe," I greeted back while giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"How was your day?" He asked me while taking off his jacket.
"Better now that you are here," I smiled at him causing him to smile back.
"But we have a problem." I said as his smile fell just like mine did when I remembered our little problem with Joseph and his fish.
