"We need to reproduce." They told me. I was only sixteen years old.
Things have never been the same since the world ended. Now we lived in fear, we were unsure of what was to come to next day, so we lived each day as if it were our last. That's the funny thing about life, you don't know when your last day is coming. So you wake up each morning, say your prayers, and hope for the best. Prayers never did me any good, so I don't bother, but when I see my people pray every morning I stay quiet. They needed their hope, they needed that flicker of light to guide them in the darkness, I wasn't going to be the one to put it out. I wasn't going to be the one that told them the world would never be okay...
