Steve woke up to a terrible suffocating atmosphere. His head jerked up, only to smash itself on his coffin's lid. Pain shot through his already cracked skull and his vision tripled, even though all he could see was a mono color of wood. Darkness enveloped his vision even though his eyes were still open, and he felt himself drift into another long sleep.
He came to again, when he felt the biting cold wind gnawing at his exposed skin. He stirred up into a sitting position, to find himself at the edge of his own grave.
He looked down and felt a sense of calm. They think I'm dead. I'm not. I can breathe. I can feel. I'm not dead. I'm free. Lonely, but free.
Why didn't I die?? Was it my love for Kana?? Yes, that must be it. My love for her kept me alive. I must see her now.
Steve hobbled over to Kana's place. At first, he hesitated, but then eventually rang her doorbell and waited.
Finally, he held his breath as he awaited to see who would open the door. Would it be her parents?? He didn't consider that before. Now it was too late. He didn't want to turn back either.
Minutes later, the door flung open with a startling speed.
It was Kana herself.
She looked so cute and small and defenseless. Steve realized he must 'ave been staring, but he couldn't help it.
Kana was just so pretty. Steve also realized that he was supposed to be dead, and his appearance in the dead of the night would certainly startle the girl. Thinking fast he decided to hold her hands, a feat he couldn't accomplish when he was alive.
He took a step towards her and saw a blur of movement on Kana's right side.
Darkness enveloped him once again.
Kana had struck him on his nose.Steve came to again, only to find himself strapped to an armchair. This was his greatest turn on situation and he couldn't help but smile at his captor. The girl he adored most in the world. Standing right in front of him, shaking, with a toy sword in her hand.
Steve smiled again. He wanted to say something, anything.
"I have come to make you mine forever, my love!!" , he said, as dramatically as possible.
Kana stared for a second, completely confused. The next instant, she swung her sword, a refined, fluid sweep. Which made perfect contact just a little above Steve's ear. Another thok, and Steve was out cold again.
