Unedited Chapter 2
Aurora didn't know where to go but she knew she had to keep running. Down the hallway, left and right, she kept going. Mr Wests, her father or not, seemed suspicious. And undoubtedly there were men running towards her who she knew was the security.
She was a panting mess. Her hair was down and kept flying in front of her, making it hard for her to see. She turned another left and came to across a big hallway. She kept running, but she didn't know why. Something about the way her "father" said the word 'experiments' was off. And the next thing she knew, she was running down the nearest hallway, as if her body didn't have any control over her legs. Like someone else was controlling her.
Aurora frowned. Her right foot stepped on something hard, sharp. She immediately fell forward with a scream. There were two big glass doors about fifteen feet away with a big exit sign on top. She had almost made it outside the building. She looked back at what had made her trip. Small metal spikes came out of the ground and the security men were nearing. But before she could even stand up, something hit the back of her head, hard.
-----------
She woke up again in the same room as before. But the only differences were that she wasn't in a glass coffin, there was a heart monitor beeping next to her and a bright light shone upon her, making her head pound, more than it was already hurting.
And thankfully she wasn't restrained like the last time. Aurora did not try to get out of her bed this time. She was exhausted. She couldn't remember anything, but at the same time she felt like she knew everything. Something about the whole place was odd. Aurora tried to think about who hit her. And with what.
The security were still about seven to eight feet away from her and the walls didn't seem to be able to hide someone in them. She sighed and closed her eyes hard. Her head continued to pound. Her right hand reached up and touched the spot where her injury might have happened.
Aurora immediately shot her eyes open. She felt a sticky liquid enveloping her fingers. She sat up slowly and carefully, looking at her fingers, she saw the red liquid dripping. The pillow, bed sheets, everything was bloody. Her head continued to pound, continued to bleed.
Whoever hit her, must've hated her so much that they wanted her gone as soon as possible. Aurora didn't want to assume things. But being herself, she couldn't help it. She felt bad. Like everyone hated her. All the strange events were taking a toll on her, emotionally.
Just then the doors slid open. Two men, one with black hair wearing a doctor's coat while the other had short brown hair and who was wearing normal jeans and shirt, showed up. The man with black hair had a clip board in his hand and stethoscope around his neck. The other man had his hands free.
"You shouldn't be out of bed, it's harmful", said the black haired man. Aurora looked back at the bed to show the blood. But to her horror the bed was clean. No blood stains or even a tiny drop to indicate the her head had bled all over the sheets.
Aurora started panicking, again. But this time she didn't run. She knew that whatever was happening might just have been her mind playing tricks on her or that she is hallucinating due to the fear. She touched her head. It was intact. Like there had never been a serious bleeding cut there. Even her hand was devoid of any sign of the red substance.
"My name is Dr. Zayn Malik. I am in charge of you and this is my assistant Niall Horan",the doctor said just as Aurora got back in the bed.
The assistant, Niall, was busy taking out equipments from the cabinet while the doctor continued explaining.
"I know that you are confused and scared, wondering what you are doing here, but you have to be patient. Everything will come back to once all the experiments and procedures are completed". Dr. Malik paused writing on his clipboard and looked towards Aurora to make sure she was listening.
