Chapter 10

She was caught smoking.She breathed the smoke out of her mouth.

"..Nagisa,you...smoke?"The redhead in front of her was bewildered

He didn't think she would smoke,he'll admit,it might have come sooner or later,but he didn't expect it to be at this age.A wave of anger and worry washed over him as he made his way towards her

He stood in front of her,looking at her eyes,examining them.They're yellowish white.She's been smoking for a while now..He thought.He also realized her chappy lips.

"Nagisa,why?"he asked

"...Why you asked?Because..I'm done.With Life,with myself,with...Just...Everything!"She snapped angrily

She was about to take another stick out and light it up when suddenly a hand slapped it out of her reach.

"The actual fuck Karma?!"

"I'm sorry,but I'm not letting you smoke!You know it's bad for your health yet you-"

"I'D RATHER DIE THAN LIVE IN THIS CRUEL WORLD!"She shouted

"..."

He pulled her into a hug,and began rubbing her back,"Nagisa..please..."He whispers into her ears,"Stop smoking...please?"

"...fine...I'll try.."She looked away,"and...Sorry for shouting at you..."

"When did you start smoking..?"the redhead asked out of curiosity

"I actually used to smoke but I stopped,I guess I'm back to my old habits then.."She gave out a loud sigh

She picked up the lighter and left the cigarette lying on the hard pavement.
She placed the lighter in her pocket and began walking

I'll be frank,it hurt me.a lot.when she suddenly snapped at me.I didn't think she will..I guess everyone has their own limits.He thought.

He was so lost in his own thoughts,he didn't realize he was following the latter back home

"Say,Karma,why exactly are you following me?You want to have a stick?"Nagisa looked at the boy in suspicion

"W-what?No!I was...umm...."He brought his hands up to his chest as a sign of refusal

"I wanted to hang out at your place today!That's why!"beads of sweat were visibly rolling down his cheeks

"Oh"she replied monotonously,"sure..I guess.."

"You know the basics,place your shoes outside and if you'd like,just come visit my room anytime.I'm fine with it."The bluenette rushed up to her bedroom,almost as if she wanted to hide something

Akabane just gazed at her,his eyes focused on every moment she made,monitoring them.Yes,he was observing her.
But Why?
He thought.
I'm not in love with her or anything
So why?

He shrugged,maybe it's because she's his first friend,maybe that's why.
Yeah...that should be it.

"Hey Karma?"she said from upstairs,"If you tell anyone about me smoking.I'll be sure to give you a kick in the balls.And I'll make sure it'll hurt so badly you won't be able to walk straight for a week,"she said innocently

Shivers ran down his spine.So innocent and petite yet so terrifying.That's what the shota is.

Karma switched channels on the Television with the remote on his hands,unfortunately,nothing seemed to interest him.In the end,he went upstairs to her bedroom.Surprisingly,she wasn't in her room.

"Wtf?"he muttered

He sat in her bed and unconsciously laid on it.Her scent.It was all over the bed,it was strawberry,his favorite.He couldn't help but feel comfortable in it.It was almost as if he belonged here.Like he was meant to spend his life with her.But then again,was he?
He continued laying in her bed and before he knew it,he took a nap

"K-KARMA?!"A scream could be heard which woke up to half-awake redhead

He rubbed his eyes and in front of him was Nagisa wrapped in her towel.
She looked shocked

"N-Nagisa?!"His face turned into 50 shades of red.

Nagisa realized she was not in clothes and started panicking,"G-get out!!!"

"Okay okay!"He scrambled out,almost tripping while on his way

He slammed the door shut behind him and leaned on it as if his life depended on it

G-god....she looks so beautiful.
