Exclusively Dating
Nasa airport si Maya naghihintay kang Richard. Kagagaling lang niya ng Davao. Tinawagan siya ni Richard na on the way na daw ito para sunduin siya, naipit lang sa traffic kaya medyo male-late ng konti.
“Maya!”
When she turned to see kung sino ang tumawag, she saw Capt. James Ventura.
“Hello po Sir James.”
“Di ka pa ba uuwi?”
“Ah, hinihintay ko lang po sundo ko.”
But she didn’t bother mention Richard’s name baka ma-misinterpret na naman just like her fellow FA’s na lagi na lang nagtatanong kung officially mag-on na ba daw sila ni Sir Chief everytime she told them na susunduin siya nito. Deep inside she is praying na umalis na si Capt. James bago pa dumating si Sir Chief para di na magtanong kung bakit sinusundo siya nito.
“So kumusta na ang soon-to-be flight attendant ng Time Airways?”
“Hayun! Sobrang saya! Excited na ako Sir James. Ay, salamat pala. Di pa ako nakapagpasalamat sa’yo ng personal eh. Salamat talaga at pinagkatiwalaan mo ako ha.”
“Maya, just like what I said to you before. Unang kita ko pa lang sa’yo I know na you are menat to fly. Now that you are one step closer to your dream, pagbutihin mo ha.”
“Oo naman Sir James. Di kita bibiguin.”
“I’m konting on that Maya.”
“Sige po Sir James. Oh nga pala, mabuti naman at dito ka na naman sa Pilipinas.”
“Oo nga eh..fortunately nakasama pa kita sa flight..at sa mga susunod pang flight ko.”
He grinned at her. Maya is happy to hear that too. Imagine, she will have the chance to fly with the future CEO of Time Airways!
“Nakakatuwa naman Sir James, na makakasabay ako sa byahe ng future CEO ng TA.”
They are talking happily na di nila namalayan na dumating na pala si Richard. And he saw them instantly pagpasok pa lang nito sa airport.
Capt. Ventura?! So, you’re here again?..
Richard began walking towards where Maya and James are. He overheard James offering Maya a ride home good thing Maya declines the offer. Just in time when she saw him. With her signature sweet smile and wave, he calmly approached them. Relax Richard… he tried to remind himself even if what he wants to do is run to Maya’s side and take her away from there, out of Ventura’s eyes!
“Hi! Sorry na-late ako. Traffic eh. Hi Capt. Ventura.”
Richard extended his hand for a handshake, which James kindly took.
“Hi Mr. Lim. Good to see you again. So ikaw pala ang susundo kay Maya?”
“Oh yes! Been doing this ever since (we dated).. ummm her OJT started.”
