Chapter 4 : Kid's Four-digit Passcode?
As Kid hesitantly waved goodbye to Sam, he stepped onto his flight-capable skateboard, Beelzebub.
"Liz, Patty, transform." He ordered. Immediately, the two girls transformed into twin pistols that he kept originally for symmetry. "Professor Stein, aren't you coming back to Shibusen?"
"You go ahead, Kid-kun. I have some unfinished business in the pyramids of Anubis to take care of." Stein answered from the ground. Even though the professor was smiling, Kid could tell that he was referring to the destruction of the pyramids the Shinigami boy had caused on that day.
"Okay. But I'm sure Father will wish to speak to you, do don't take too long." He commanded, although inside he was shuddering at the remembrance of the asymmetric mummy of Anubis.
"Alright. Don't get yourself on trouble, Kid-kun." Stein said in a caring manner.
"I won't." which was goodbye enough for Kid to dismiss himself from the awkward situation.
He flew for a long time; longer than he'd expected. Liz and Patty were starting to weigh down on his hands from his exhaustion. The past hours had been extremely tiresome. The twin guns seemed like anchors by the end of the flight.
"Liz, Patty..." was all he said when they landed. When they reverted back to their human forms, Kid sat on the steps of Shibusen and said, "Carry me..." then, he passed out.

Kid awoke in a makeshift bed, whose contents were a towel, three chairs, and a blanket. The room was completely dark. He sat up, and something hit his face. It was knocked back and a startled yelp came from it.
"... Patty?"
"Yep! And owww, that hurt, Kid-kun!" the bubbly twin said, and Kid could hear the pout in her voice.
"Wait! What were you doing on top of me?!" He yelled.
"I was cold. You had the only blanket.I thought I'd die of hippo-thermia!"
"... You mean hypothermia?"
"That's what I said, silly!"
"... Déjà vu..." He said hazily. "Where's Liz?"
"She said she'd be back with more blankets. She told me to stay with you!" Patty babbled.
"How long has it been since she left?" Kid asked cautiously, afraid of a possible answer.
"What's with all the questions? Oops! I just asked a question! Ha ha! Questions are contagious!" She laughed like a little girl.
"Answer me, Patty!" Kid insisted.
"Well, I'm not a clock, but I think it was about... hmm... tough to say... But maybe four hours ago?"
"What?! Four hours ago?! You should have woken me up and told me to help you search for her!"
"But Liz told me to 'not leave this point no matter what, because, if you do, Patty, I'll take away your yellow giraffe crayons!' My giraffe crayons are what I use to color paper that I make into a giraffe! Remember that test we took? Like that!"
"Liz... told you that?"
"Mm-hm!" She nodded excitedly.
"We have to go find her." Kid decided quickly, feeling around for the ground with his bare foot while he sat on the chairs.
"But she said--"
"I know what she said, Patty! But that doesn't matter right now! We have to go find her!" He said as he continued to search for the ground. Just as he thought he was going to slip off the chairs, he found a dirt floor. He jumped down, not bothering for shoes, and after him came Patty.
"Those are tall chairs!" She said, pointing out the obvious once again. Kid took an estimate as to where Patty's hand was and grabbed for it. He made contact and held it. In the pitch-black, they could easily be separated.
Soon, Kid stepped into a puddle. He walked forward a little bit, and the water got a little deeper.
"Yeah. Just as I thought."
"What, Kid-kun?"
"We're in some kind of cave. It's fall, so this is the time water starts to form in caves like this. I can't. Carry me."
"Huh?"
"My pants will get wet, while you're wearing shorts. Come on; carry me."
"Well, I'll try!" Patty said brightly. She picked Kid up easily, so he sat on her back like a small child would I their father's. "Woow, Kid-kun! You're light!"
"No, you're just crazily strong!" Kid said.
After a short amount of time hiking through the increasingly deepening water, Kid yelled, "The Million Year Door!" He pointed to a door on a small island amongst the sea, which was alit with an extremely gloomy light that looked like it would blink out any second.
"Million Year Door? What's that?"
"It's a mysterious door that is said to appear when someone is in need of help! It's like a dimensional pocket. The only problem is that it has a passcode..."
"Let's go... TRY IT!" Patty zoomed toward the door with a sudden burst of energy that almost knocked Kid off and into the water. "Passcode! Passcode!" She sang.
There was a small square panel that was eerily illuminated. The numbers 1-9 seemed to glow on their own.
"1234!" Patty punched the pattern in. The glowing numbers flashed red once, then returned to their original neon blue tint.
"Hm... just for kicks... type in 8888 and see what happens..." Kid offered. When Patty was finished with that sequence, the lights flashed a bright green and the door squeaked open.
"It opened?!" Kid was stunned. He got off of Patty and cracked the door open more. Darkness greeted them. Where did this door lead to?
