A soft knock on my door awakes me from my slumber. Stretching out, I slowly get up and open the door. A small, brown hair boy with hazel eyes looks up at me with a massive smile.

"Hi, I'm Tyler. Are you my new big sister?" Tyler questions excitedly jumping up onto my bed.

I nod at him with a smile on my face. He looks at me curiously before sitting in my lap.

"Dad said that you don't talk but thats okay. I love talking, so I'll do the talking if you'd like. You can just listen." I give him a genuine smile. He's just too cute. He goes on to tell me about his school and how his big brothers are his best friends, even though they can get annoying at times. He also tells me that he doesn't have a mummy, which causes my heart to break. He can defiantly talk because he's being going on for about 45 minutes now, well that was before he jumped off my bed with wide eyes.

"Oh! I almost forgot. Dad told me to tell you that dinner is ready." Tyler grabs my hand and starts leading me down a flight of stairs and towards the dining area. Harry is already seated at the head of the table and indicates for me to sit next to Tyler. To be honest I'm not even hungry at the moment.

"My girlfriend Tiffany is going to take you shopping for clothes and school stuff tomorrow, okay Poppy?" I just nod because even if I declined his offer, I already know that he wont take no for an answer and I'm really not in the mood to argue with him.

"Where are those bloody boys" Harry mutters.

Speak of the devils, the four boys enter the room. I could cut the tension in this room with a butter knife. The twins were definitely identical. They both have dark blonde hair and hazel eyes. I did notice a slight difference in their eye colour though, one has more green in his eyes compared to the other that had more brown. One of them also had a small scar under his left eye.

They all sit down and look directly at me with the same identical smirk on their faces. Well I'm guessing this is going to be an interesting night. Interrogate the new girl.

"So this is the famous Poppy we've heard so much about. Welcome to the family big sis" One of the twins says sarcastically with a wink. The other boys snicker. Harry gives them a stern look.

"Boys...." he states.

"What? You expect us to just accept a stranger openly into the family! We know nothing about her! She hasn't even said a word since she got here. Don't you find that, I don't know....weird" The other twin exclaims.

How dare they! I don't know them either but I didn't exactly have a choice in coming here. It's not my fault that my parents are dead and I may not talk at the moment but that doesn't mean I won't eventually.

"Dylan thats enough!" Harry roared. So that ones Dylan, which means the other smug looking boy is Isaac.

"Since when did you decide to come home and be a parent? News flash dad but your not here enough to boss us around. Oh and how's Tiffany going? Has she finished high school yet?" Cole says, this voice oozing with sarcasm.

Harry looks like his about to explode. Harry gets up angrily and leaves the table. I hear him walk down the hallway with a slam of his bedroom door. I jump in fright.

Well this dinner just got a lot more uncomfortable. I look around to see all 5 boys staring at me.

"So, do you seriously not talk?" Jason asks me curiously. I nod my head writing down a simple yes in my notebook and turn it to show him.

"Why not?" Dylan asks with a roll of the eyes. I'm not ready to tell them my past so I shake my head and write down 'It's a very long story'. He just reads my note, gets up looking annoyed and leaves the dining room, followed by Isaac.

"That's alright. No pressure to tell us." Jason saids with a warm smile. At least he's actually acknowledging my presence now without assuming I'm sleeping with his dad. That assumption was making my skin crawl. So Gross.

"Do you want to go and play Mario Karts with me Poppy. The boys never want to play with me!" Tyler pouted his lips, looking up at me.

"That's because you cheat" Cole laughs looking over curiously at me. I give Tyler a nod and he excuses us from dinner and leads me to the games room.

"Im not suppose to be in here without one of my brothers but I'm with you so it's fine" Tyler says matter-of-factly while turning on the wii and tv.

"You cheated!" Tyler says throwing his hands in the air. Tyler has won four times and I have won 6. He's not very happy. I decide to let him win the next three rounds and this he jumps up in victory.

"I am the winner! I won the game!" he chants happily before Cole walks in.

"Hey buddy, Isaac wants to know if you wanna go for a swim with him?" Cole says plopping down on the couch next to me. The minute Tyler heard swim, he was up and gone.

"You let him win didn't you" Cole states amused. I just shrug.

"I was planning on giving you a hard time when you got here you know..." Cole trailed off. Really? I couldn't have guessed.

"That was until I saw you this morning, you know, on the balcony. Sorry about that by the way. You just looked so sad and I came to the realisation that your just as messed up as we are. I didn't know what to say that could help you" He says looking down at his hands. Messed up as we are? Oh.

I scribble down in my note book and hand it to him. He read, 'I know what its like to lose someone you loved' . He looks up at me and cracks a small, sad smile.

I place a hand on his shoulder in comfort before his phone rings. He answers it with a grunt before getting up off the couch.

"Party? Yer. Yer. We'll be there." Cole hangs up and then continues to leave the room. Okay then.

"Poppy! Could you come down here please" I here Harry's voice boom up the stairs. I slowly walk down the stairs and stop when I see Cole, Jason and the twins looking really annoyed at their dad.

"The boys are going to a party." he begins. I hate parties more than anything. I would be happy here, reading a book or exploring the house more. The boys don't like me already, the shouldn't be forced to take me to a party I don't even want to go to.

"I think its a good idea for you to go with them. Maybe make some friends before you start school on Monday." he says. Great.

"But dad, how is she suppose to make friends when she won't even talk!" Isaac laughs sarcastically.

"I don't see the point in her coming" Dylan agrees.

"Poppy go and get ready. The boys will wait down here for you." Harry ignores the protests from his boys as I head up stairs. We're in for a eventful night...
