New Girl

Chapter five

   "Ok what's going on?"
    "Huh?" Asked Hayden.
     "That wasn't all about me. You two have some kind of history."
     "I'm only telling you this since your my best friend."
       "Hey!" Said Alex.
      "Best straight friend," she giggled.
      And Hayden told her everything. Emma was in shock. Her best friend at her new school was almost a teen mom, how could she not be in shock. Emma may be new and still not know a lot about this school but she felt like she at least knew Hayden and Alex. She wasn't so sure know though. So in that very moment Emma took a deep breath and swallowed down any feelings she had previously had for Adam.
Later that day she had science. When she walked into the room the whispers began again. When Emma looked at the teacher she knew that the Mrs. Haynes knew the rumors.
"Mrs. Daveen please switch partners with Mrs. Tharst."
      Makayla Tharst. She was the mean girl of Whitten High. Makayla was also after Adam.
     "With pleasure," she said. She stood up looked over at Adam and bit her lip and sat down. Just then Adam stood.
     "Mrs. Haynes, if I may ask why are you switching my partner in the middle of a major project?"
     "Adam do you want to go into the hall to discuss this matter."
      "No I'm alright here."
      "Very well than."
       "I've heard that you and Emma have taken the project a little too seriously."
       " I'm not sure if I understand," asked Emma.
       "You two had sex while working on the project." The class giggled and Emma and Adam gasped. They stood there in disbelief on what their teacher had just said. Emma could feel her cheeks getting hot and turning bright pink and tears forming in her eyes. She looked over at Adam and he was pissed.
"Well Mrs.Haynes one we are in high school it happens. Two of all people I thought you'd be the one to a stop a silly rumor. Cause that's all it is a rumor nothing happened between me and Emma we worked on our project and that's all. And three even if we did do something I honestly don't think you have the right to interfere with out Personal love lives."
Mrs Haynes was shocked. Emma was scared for Adam. She was happy he stood up for her though. But Emma was right to be scared.
"One it's not a love life it's a sex life. Two please go tell the principal about your little standoff." Emma thought about it and knew it was all her fault. She couldn't let him go down for sticking up for her. Emma was always the quite one so what she was about to do was the scariest thing she'd ever done.
"Your going to punish him for doing the right thing?" She blurted. The whole class turned to looked at her and gasped. Everyone was in disbelief.
"Emma no you'll get in trouble too," Adam exclaimed.
"my parents won't care if I get sent to the principals office for doing the right thing." She tried not to show it but Emma was completely and utterly frightened.
"Ok Emma than you can go with him,"
"Huh?" Emma was surprised. This took an eventful turn.
