A few moments later Dawon and Hoseok sat down at the dinner table.
"Where is dad?" Dawon asked carefully, to which her mom responded with, "Working late... again."
That was always the excuse, working late. But they all knew better, the more he "worked" the more money seemed to disappear.
"Shall we start then?" Their mom asked and Hoseok nodded. After eating in silence for five minutes Dawon stopped, "You know, Hoseok has a thing he wants to tell you."
He shot her a glance but Dawon nodded, meaning it was safe to say.
"You do?" Their mom asked and raised an eyebrow.
Hoseok hesitated first and looked down at his plate.
"I, um, well... I got this little card and, well, I might be able to do audition and if I'm good enough I can become a dancer... but I don't think they would want to have me as a trainee..."
Dawon slammed her hand on the table, "Are you kidding me? You are an amazing dancer! Please mom, let him audition!"
Their mom just kept silent. "Please, finish your dinner." was all she said after a while."Well that went bad." Hoseok said when he and Dawon walked back to the garage.
"She didn't say no?" The older responded, making it sound like a question.
"I'll never get in anyway, it doesn't matter," Hoseok sighed, "it doesn't matter." He whispered to himself once more.
"That's it," Dawon said, "where is it?"
"Where is what?" Hoseok said confused, looking up at his sister.
"The card." she responded annoyingly.
"In my back poket." and without thinking she reached into his back pocket and grabbed the card.
"What are you doing?"
Dawon smiled, "just wait."
She got her phone out of her own pocket and called the number on the card.
"What are you doing?!" Hoseok yelled more panicked than he meant to.
"I am going to call them and te-" but Dawon couldn't finish her sentence because someone had picked up the phone and was now talking to her.
"Hello, this is Jung Dawon speaking, is this Big Hit entertainment? Ah yes... my brother is very good at dancing you see, and I heard that maybe he could audition any time soon?"
There was a silence before Dawon started talking again.
"Ah I see," she said, "yes I totally understand, okay then, I will tell him. Thank you for your time."She closed the phone and just sat down. Hoseok nevously bit his lip, "And?!" He almost shouted.
"I thought you didn't want to audition?" Dawon said with a playful smile.
"Quit joking already and just tell me please!" He blurted out.
She smiled, "they are on a very tight scedule," Dawon paused for the dramatic effect, "BUT, they managed to get you an audition. Tomorrow!"
Hoseok thought about it, "what time?" He responded nervously.
"She said that you could drop by between two and half past two." she said.
Hoseok went through his hair with his hands out of frustration. "What's the problem?" Dawon asked, seeing that something was wrong.
"I still have school at that time, I really can't miss math class, it's my worst subject and if I don't pass that class..."
His sister thought for a moment, "call in sick?"
"Again?"
"Hoseok, you'll have math class the whole year, this audition is only once" Hoseok agreed and sat down, "yes, maybe you're right. Thank you, again." He smiled at her, and she smiled back.
"Why are you still sitting?" Dawon asked, which caused Hoseok to get a confused look on his face.
"You have an audition tomorrow, shouldn't you go practise? Go go go" She laughed and turned on the music.
"I should finish my choreography... but, eh, could you leave? Please? I prefer to practise alone."
Dawon laughed and stood up, "alright alright, I'll leave"
Hoseok gave her a thankful nod and started to working on his choreo again. It seemed like it worked out quite well, and when he was done he was pretty satisfied.
Of course it was never good enough, but Hoseok decided that it was good enough. For now at least.Hoseok went to find his sister to ask if he could perform for her.
She happily accepted and watched as her younger brother danced with all passion in his body."If you do this well tomorrow they can't deny you, and if they do, they are very very very stupid" Hoseok smiled bright at the big compliment from his sister.
