Nothing changed between the two boys, and for that, Taehyung was thankful. Or, Taehyung was thankful for not noticing how different things actually were.

It had been three days since Taehyung's confession. After the first full 24 hours, Taehyung stopped being nervous and started acting more natural around Jimin. After the first 24 hours, Taehyung stopped looking for a change.

With the TV on and Jimin's arm tucked around Taehyung's shoulder, everything seemed as normal as possible. Taehyung was relaxed enough that he fell asleep watching the anime Jimin picked out and didn't feel the small kiss Jimin planted in his hair. He didn't feel when Jimin grabbed his hand so he could play with his fingers. And if he felt it subconsciously, he wasn't complaining.

The anime played on in the background as Jimin watched Taehyung sleep. Part of him felt creepy, but the awe that overtook him overpowered that feeling. Taehyung looked so peaceful, even with one of his eyelids cracked open a smidge. Jimin found it endearing, really. He shifted a bit sideways in order to cup Taehyung's jaw. The action felt so domestic to Jimin, yet so natural, and he loved it. He loves Taehyung.

But he can't tell him.

No, he can't do that.

For starters, Taehyung wouldn't even believe him. He'd say something along the lines of Jimin, it's not funny. Cut it out. Or, haha I'm gay, we get it.

No. Jimin can't tell him.

But not telling him means he would have to watch Taehyung fall in love with someone that's not himself. He'd have to live his life listening to Taehyung talk about how much he loves his boyfriend (that isn't Jimin) and possibly even be the best man at his wedding. Jimin would have to pretend to be happy about Taehyung telling his kid to call him Uncle Jimin. And that doesn't sit well with him.

So, maybe Jimin should tell him.

As he thought back on the days he's spent with Taehyung, the happiness that warmed his chest grew. He thought back on letting Taehyung shoot him for his Instagram and the feeling of pride he felt when Taehyung gave him praise. He thought back to when Taehyung found the pearl necklace and immediately thought of giving it to him. He thought about the lingerie he purchased for Taehyung, more for the aesthetic than for the prank itself, but Taehyung didn't need to know that. And Jimin thought back to all the years they've spent with each other, and the feeling in his chest deepened, making it harder for Jimin to breathe.

As he reached for the pearl necklace that hung from his neck, Jimin made his decision. He would tell Taehyung about his feelings tomorrow, regardless of the many possible outcomes.
