Puppy

*knock, knock*

"Hold on, I'll be there in a sec" I mumbled, my mouth full of chips

I opened the door and saw c/n. We had his adorable smile, as always, on his face. I jumped back onto my couch, c/n has come over far too many times.

"What's up bro" I mumble into my coke
"I just needed to see you, haven't seen ya in a couple days" he threw his shoes off and jumped onto the couch with me
"Awww, I missed you too" I squeeze his chubby cheeks
"Hey, hey hey hey" he swats my hands away

I giggle and continue watching TV. A shelter commercial comes on.

"Awwww, I want to save one" I whine, nearly crying at the poor little pups stuck in a cage
"I've always wanted a puppy too" he smiled

For the next 30 minutes, c/n and I talked about puppies.

...

I heard my bed creak. I looked over and saw c/n lying besides me. But my attention was fixed on the little ball of fluff on his chest. A little German Shepherd puppy looked up at me and scampered over. His tongue lolling out of his mouth. He was adorable.

"What the heck" I said a little too loud, I kissed and cooed at the puppy
"I see you found your surprise" he whispered
"Aww I love him!!" I squealed, jumping on top of him

I kissed him and then took the puppy in my arms. He turned red but didn't move.
