Recap on the previous chapter (Chapter 1): Ivory is the main character. She has a class with a boy. It's not an avergae boy. He keeps staring at her, how strange. She finds out his name is Luke, and he has a tattoo on his wrist that symbolizes revenge. She knows he's going to be the start of something unusual.

Chapter 2 (the Principal's Office):

“Okay class, please grab a pen over by the window and come back to your desks when you’re done. Today we’ll begin the major evaluation project. Our objective of the assignment is to create a creature that can withstand any ‘difficulties’ heading their way. Your creature will be evaluated to determine your grade. The goal is to try to make the creature survive any challenges faced upon itself. You will have two weeks to perfect it in any ways possible,” said Mr. Bolider. Obviously the first step to begin is brainstorming. I sat in my seat, and somehow the open window caught my attention. The clouds are blissfully floating. Everything seems so peaceful. I guess I’ve been staring at the window for so long, because Mr. Bolider told me to stop zoning out and get to work. Suddenly that’s when it hit me! I desired my creature to be as free as the clouds. I wanted my creature to have wings. I sketched bunch of ideas on a separate piece of paper. Finally, I ended up with my desired outcome. I sketched my final decision onto the ‘special’ white paper Mr. Bolider handed out earlier. What happens next? I raised my hand to ask the teacher, while making quick adjustments to the piece. I felt someone in front of me, and thought it was Mr. Bolider. “So Mr. Bolider, I finished sketching my creature onto the paper. What do you wan-“ I stopped talking when I noticed it wasn’t Mr. Bolider in front of me, but Luke instead.

I awkwardly mumbled, “Oh…hi Luke…” I searched around the room for Mr. Bolider. There’s no sign of him anywhere. ‘Maybe he went to the restroom real quick,’ I thought to myself. I finally diverted my eyes back to Luke. He stared into my eyes for what seems like forever. I felt like he was staring into my soul. I felt queasy and had the urge to vomit. I don't know why he’s making me feel this way. No other person affects me the way he does. He randomly strolled away and sat back in his seat. ‘Why did he even come over here? He didn't even say anything to me,’ I thought. I was tired of allowing him to make me feel this way. As I was giving myself a pep talk, I stood up and angrily stormed my way to him.

When I approached him, he didn't even have the audacity to looked up at me. I spat, “I don’t even really know who you are or what you want from me, but stop. I never even done anything wrong to you, and you're acting super creepy and weird around me.” I suddenly felt many eyes staring at me, but for the first time it wasn’t Luke. He wasn't even looking at me. I turned around and became aware of all the other students looking at me. I quickly turned my attention back to Luke and his cold dark brown eyes are staring directly at me. I was horribly mortified. ‘Why did I talk myself into doing this? Everyone’s looking at me. I think I’m going to be sick. What do I do now? I should've never even stood—‘ “Okay.” Wait what? I snapped out of my thoughts that was swirling in my head, and realized Luke just said something to me. Just as I was about to question Luke what he meant by ‘okay’, Mr. Bolider shuffled into the room happily. Once he saw everyone staring at me in front of Luke, out of my seat, Mr. Bolider’s smile turned into a frown.

I eyed Luke as we were walking to the principal’s office with Mr. Bolider. Luke grinned back and shrugged his shoulders. For some reason that kind of made me loosen a little bit. “You two students sit in those chairs while I notify the principal,” said Mr. Bolider, pointing at the chairs in the corner of the room. As he left my sight to notify the principal I quickly whispered to Luke, “Thanks a lot jerk.” “No problem hun,” he replied back. I was in shock and almost said something I might've regretted later on, but thankfully a woman interrupted me, and called us into her office. As we were walking into the office I quickly examined the woman. She was very tall, maybe about 5’9, she had her black hair in an updo, and wore a black blazer with matching black pants. Although she wore a lot of black, it looks very sophisticated on her and really suites her. “I’m not surprised you're in here Luke, as this is your 23rd time in this office,” the woman said calmly. Luke smiled as if he won an award. The woman shockingly said to me, “Who are you? I’ve never seen you in my office before. I’m Principal Pollack, and you are?” “I’m Ivory, Ivory Helane to be precise,” I responded. “Hello Ivory. We have much to discuss, including you Luke,” Principal Pollack said, eyeing the both of us. ‘Oh boy’ I thought as Principal Pollack started talking about punishments.

The school day is finally over. People are racing to the bus and going inside their cars. Every student is heading home, except me. Principal Pollack told Luke and I separately our punishments. I don’t know what Luke’s punishment is, but his is probably better than mine. I have to stay after school for detention. Did I mention it’s four hours long?! I dragged myself slowly to room B105, the detention room. I started to wonder what will I do in an empty room for four hours. I signed my name on the piece of paper that was set outside the classroom. As I was ripped the paper and folded it to put inside the box, I noticed there was a paper was already in the box. That means someone signed in before me and is already inside the detention room. I started to wonder who’s inside. I thought I was going to be the only student. I opened the door and walked in. “OMG. Not you,” I said as I realized Luke’s going to be spending the next four hours with me in an empty classroom.
