"How is california holding up anyway?" Gaines said as she picked at her hair I leaned back in my chair and looked up at the ceiling "Hot as always what about bama?"
"Stop with your fake country accent it makes you sound stupid" She smirked at the camera then looked down at her nails "Kelseys gonna be six in a month"
"Yea...You all are coming right"
"Of course wouldn't miss it....Mom wants to plant flowers at your mom's grave again"
"Yea...." I smiled at the thought "I haven't gone out and seen mom in a while I should go tomorrow....or tonight take the car"
"You only got your permit oliver james you need an adult"
"I'll ask dad if he says no I'll ask aunt cassie"
"Ollie isn't it late?"
I looked outside at the stars and sighed "Fine tomorrow"
She smiled and her phone rang she looked at it and the smile got bigger.
"Jackson calling isn't he"
"Shut up ollie"
"Y'all gonna have a pretty white church wedding out in the country surrounded by horses and-"

I laughed as the call ended blinked on my laptop I slowly closed and spun in my chair getting up to get into bed i looked over at the picture of me and mom on the bed table I was I don't know 4 maybe sleeping on her chest and she was looking at the camera her blue eyes shining and that shy smile on her face as she took the selfie "goodnight momma" i whispered as I dirfted of to sleep.
"Dad i'm gonna go to the cemetery after school" Dad looked up from the pancake filled griddle and towards me "One of those days huh.....How are you gonna get home I'll be working" (Dad got a job as a music producer after mom died)
"I'll call aunt cass I'm sure she can pick me up and if not I'll call mimi" I stabbed at a strawberry and plopped it into my mouth
"Can I go" Finley asked I nodded "maybe make it a family outing?" Finley added looking at dad "Bring kelsey...she hasn't been out there in a long time"
"Boys you know I don't remember your mother at her grave...."
"Well yea we know " I said "That's not where we remember her either I mean this house is so strong of her.....We just like going where she is laid to rest every once in awhile"
"I'll go with you guys next time I promise"
"Sure" Finley said as a sleepy kelsey climbed up into the table
"Sleep well beautiful?" I asked she nodded and layed her head on the table closing her eyes again making us all laugh at her
"She gets that from you dad" Finley said
"What? I always wake up" Dad fired back "Your mother used to sleep in all morning if I'd let her"
I laughed remembering mom waking up at noon still demanding her sunny side up eggs and then eating her launch and hour later somtimes she woke up to eat breakfest then go back to sleep but dads just as bad if it wasnt for me and finley being early birds we would be late for school alot more often flashback of mom and dad cuddling in the bed sleeping like a perfect puzzle piece flash into my eyes and I blink to flush the tears away.

"Why cant we hang out?" Liv asked as I shut my locker.
"Me and finley are going to see mom" Liv sighed and pushed her bangs back just for them to land back on her forehead.
"Right....Oliver dont you think she would want you to move on?" liv asked watching people walk by
"I have moved on in a way but you cant just forget your mother"
"Its been 5 years and you and finley treat it like it happened yesterday"
"It feels like it happened yesterday"
