"Hey, My name is Alexandra, and yours is?" I asked smiling showing my teeth.

"Hi! My name is Alissa, it's so nice to meet you. I'm really excited about all this." Alissa said excitingly.

"Oh yeah, me too," I didn't know what else to say because I was nervous when it came to new people.

"I hope we can party tonight!" Alissa raised her voice and danced with her body as she spoke.

I'm not really into partying, but I guess I have no choice if I want to get to know people.

"I'll go if I have time of course." I smiled and went back to packing. Everything has to be in place so I don't have to worry about this tomorrow.

I am excited about this new chapter in my life.

Several hours later it began to get darker outside and I was done with packing up and making my room look reasonable. Me and Alissa talked even more while we packed everything. She seems like a nice girl.

"So do you wanna go Alexandra? My friend Philip texted me about this party and everyone is going to be there."

I cleared my throat and answered with a "yes" It'll be fun.

She squealed like a little dog of excitement and ran to her closet.

I took my makeup bag and went into the bathroom to smack on a face. I was into makeup and fairly good at it. Brows, mascara, concealer, contour, highlight, blush, powder. Baby I'm ready.
My outfit wasn't very revealing. I went for a more casual look this time. I threw on a pair of ripped jeans and a tight basic tank top.

Alissa was dressed the opposite way. She had a short dress and a little bit more makeup, but she looked good.

"Let's go?" I asked looking back at my new roommate Alissa.

She nodded and took her purse and we both were ready for tonight.

We took a walk to the party and it was only 7 minutes away from us, not too far if something would happen.

Me and Alissa talked about why we choose to go to this college. She said because she loved the city and it was her dream college. She was also really into writing books and politics. Shocking but interesting.

"What about you Alexandra?" She asked turning her head to me.

"Well my parents really care about my education so they heard a lot about this college being good and all that's why they wanted me to go here, and I'm not mad about it."

We looked at each other and smiled, it's like our eyes said I'm looking forward to this friendship.

Time flew and before we knew it, the party was right in front of our eyes.

Alissa phone vibrated and she answered putting it against her ear. "Hello, Philip! Ye we are outside." She answered.

She talked for a couple of seconds more and when she hung up a guy came out walking towards us.

"Heey, Philip! What's up??" Alissa squealed and jumped up in his torso hugging him and starting to make out and I was shocked to be honest. I didn't know about this. Didn't she say it was her friend??

When they were done with making out they turned to me and she introduced her "friend" Philip to me and I politely said hi and my name back.
"Are you guys ready? This party is fucking amazing!" Philip said loudly so we could hear him from all the music.

"I'm so ready!" I said almost screaming back and gave him a thumbs up.

I was a little scared that I might end up being all alone here, I don't know anyone here. At all. And Alissa seems to have better company than me.

She took Phillip's hand and disappeared in the crowd of people. Fuck.

What am I going to do do now?

I looked around myself to see if I could find somewhere to go. I honestly have no idea where to go. Should I just go to someone random and start talking? What if that person just walks away and thinks I'm a fucking idiot? Oh my-

"Alexandra! Come here." Alissa came and broke me out of my thoughts.

My heart went from beating fast to slowing down. I hope a find more friends so I don't end up being a loner.

"Why did you leave?" I asked being a little scared.

"I'm sorry, Phill dragged me in the crowd. She giggled softly.

"You know what? Give me your number if I loose you again." She said making me relax a bit more.

"That's a good Idea," I replied and gave her my phone to type in her number.

I gave her a call for her to save my number.

"You look a little tense, let's go get you a drink and before you know it herpes will be your new best friend." She winked and took my hand for us to get to the drinks.

I frowned but laughed at the same time.

We got to the kitchen and Alissa handed me a shot of something.

"What is this?" I asked looking down at my shot.

"It's vodka." She smiled and took her shot.

I better drink it so I can start talking to more strangers without being awkward.

I took the small plastic cup and moved it to my lips and drank it with one draft. It burnt all the way down. I hate vodka.
