"Shall we play a hand of cards?"
Those words made the room grow chill.Camerin's voice, smooth and elegant, now had a bite to it.Irina sighed.
"I'm sorry,I'm just no good at card games!Maybe some other time."
"Of course."
The green eyed woman slipped her cards back into her pocket.
"Some other time indeed, cause',I fear,I lack one particular card."
With that,Camerin turned to leave. But before she did,she looked back.
"If you happen to run into my brother, give him this."
A letter,no larger than a playing card flew into Irina's hand. It's design:The King of Clubs. When Irina looked up from her hand,Camerin and Hansel were gone.
"I apologize for the interruption.Camerin has...a quite odd sense of time."
"Are you trying to be nice?"
Taylor blurted out, only to be met with a disappointed stare.
"Now then, you best be on your way."
It was obvious that Sage was far too tired of these children in his home.
Into the forest the two entered once more, with the looming thought of Gretel coming
for their heads. The paths of the forest twisted and turned endlessly, and endlessly the paths twisted and turned.Until all was dark, and Irina, poor, lovely, girl, lost her way in this maddening place, loosing her guide.
"Taylor?Talyor!Taylor where are you?!"
She cried out again and again. Each time more desperate than the last.
"Aren't you a pretty thing?"
A pair of gold eyes sparkled in the dim light around.
"....."
These eyes were met with cautious silence from Irina.Slim shreds of starlight shine down into the clearing, revealing the eyes belonged to a form nor cat,and nor human. But both. The figure sat upon a low, looming, curly, tree.

"Ah,tough crowd.Anyways, what brings a nice looking lass like yourself down this way?"
