Shannon stayed awake with me all night, although he had a really important meeting the next day. I could let him do that. Black Fuel and the band were more important than me. While he sipped on his 100th cup of coffee, I stared at him. "What's wrong?" "Why did you do that? You didn't have to stay awake with. Especially when you have a meeting." "I can. I can't let you down. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I let met my woman down?" "Please Shan... It's my past..." "Yeah... But I'm your future..."

Eventually he left, so I was alone... Until Jared appeared. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I said as he entered the living room. "Shannon told me to keep an eye on you."" Are you kidding me?" "Nope." He sat down next to me. "He told me what happened in the bar. Who they were and that you're scared of them." "I'm not scared of them. I'm scared of what they'll do to get me back." He nodded. "Well, they won't get you back. As long as you're a member of the band and my family, I'll take care of you." I smiled and tried to keep the tears inside. "Jay.... I'm afraid they could hurt you all..." "They won't." "You don't know them... They're unpredictable!" "Don't worry Kay..." Jared hugged me tight and I let my tears fall...

Jared and Shannon agreed to go with me wherever I went. They came with me to the bar, grocery shopping, to the hair stylist and even to the tattoo artist. They went to the gym with me and I had to go with them, to each and every meeting, interview or whatever.

The fear let go of me more each day. It was one of the nights when I had to play in the bar. They boys sat at the counter and observed the guests. I was in the middle of a song as the front swung open and the nightmare stepped inside...
