Annie's POV

"I'm home!" I announced as I walked through the front door.

"Annie, how was gymnastics?" Mom asked from the kitchen.

"It was good." I replied as I placed my lunchbox and schoolbag on the counter. "I got a lot of school done today."

"That's wonderful, Annie." Mom smiled as she began cutting up dinner.

Mom seemed to be acting weird; the way she talked, the way she looked at me, it seemed like she was hiding something...

"Mom, is everything okay?" I asked her.

Mom paused cutting the vegetables in front of her for a brief moment, but then nodded and continued cutting. "Yes, everything is fine. Why do you ask?"

"Because you're acting weird." I pointed out.

Mom gave me a look. "I am not."

I giggled. "Yeah, you are. I've known you for how long? Fourteen years, aka my entire life, so I know when you're hiding something."

Mom sighed. "I didn't want to tell you until your dad and Hayley got home."

I raised an eyebrow. "Tell us what?"

"Like I said, let's wait for them to get home." Mom said, which made me even more impatient.

All I did was sigh and nod as I helped Mom prepare for dinner.

Just as she finished mixing the salad in a bowl, the door leading to the garage opened.

"I'm he-ere!" Hayley said in a sing-song voice as she skipped into the kitchen.

As I greeted Hayley, I saw Mom confront Dad, who was just walking in.

They were whispering, probably about whatever they were hiding from us. After a few seconds, Dad nodded, and Mom went back to the kitchen.

"Girls, after dinner we have to tell you something important." Dad said before going into the kitchen.

"Okay." Hayley and I said in unison.

After that, I went into the bathroom to wash my face before going back to the kitchen and grabbing myself a bowl of salad.

Once everyone had finished their salads, I asked, "So, what did you want to tell us?"

"You really wanna know, huh?" Mom asked, to which I nodded to.

Dad sighed and nodded at Mom, who nodded back. What was so big?

Mom took a deep breath before saying, "We're moving to California next week."

"We are?" Hayley asked with excitement.

"We are?" I asked with disappointment at the same time as Hayley.

Mom and Dad nodded. "Because of how successful Bratayley is getting, and since most of our offers are in California, we thought we should move there." Mom explained.

"So, we thought that if we moved there, everything would be less hectic." Dad added.

Hayley grinned. "I'm excited! Maybe I can go to ALDC LA!"

Ever since she started watching Dance Moms, Hayley has been obsessed with the ALDC girls and how they train. It's pretty much Hayley's dream to go to ALDC and be friends with the dancers there.

Mom nodded. "Yes, we've already contacted them for audition information."

"Yay!" Hayley exclaimed. "Annie, why aren't you more excited?"
