chapter 6 - Becoming a Dixon ?

It's been a week since my first date with Carl

I couldn't get it him out of my head about how he made my heart race but I had to though I couldn't be falling for him plus

I was going on a hunt a normal hunt of course well his normal not mine with Daryl who said he had something important to ask me I was really nervous

I had told Carl he just said I had nothing to worry about this morning Daryl woke me up by knocking on the wall so I wouldn't accidentally punch him again

He said it was good to always be on guard but he didn't feel like getting hurt every time he tried waking me up

I had bagged a deer and so did Daryl along with a few squirrels
We were on our way back to the prison when Daryl said to stop and to put our stuff down I did as I was told

Daryl grabbed my hand in between both of his he looked at me in a new way as he got on one knee

" Ava he hoarsely said before continuing " Ava I love you your like a daughter to me I wanted to ask if you would let me sorta I guess you could call it adoption can I adopt you will you to become a Dixon you don't have to say yes he said before I hurled myself at him saying yes over and over I love you to Daryl

He coughed from me knocking the wind out of him he just laughed call me Dad Ava

We finally reached the prison I had to find Carl and tell him what happened I raced around the prison practically screaming in my head

Finally I found Carl I started jumping up and down barely keeping it in

Asked Carl with confusion written all over his face

I practically screamed it
" I'M A DIXON NOW !!!!!"

Daryl asked to become my father he wanted me to be his daughter I said yes I'm now

Ava was Daryl's daughter now I didn't see that coming I should of she practically was like Daryl already she was a survivor just like him

I'm so happy for her she's smiling all the time now which makes everything seem brighter once she finished talking I took her hand in mine and kissed her slowly pulling on her bottom lip when suddenly

I heard someone clearing their throat I turned around to dad and Glenn both grinning

I blush seeing Rick and Glenn watching us but that didn't stop me from telling them I quickly ran up to them letting go of Carl's hand

I jump up and down as they looked at me with curiosity written all their faces

When I realized I was covered in dirt from hunting I quickly dust the dirt off my black T-shirt and jeans

I was so happy to be part of a family again I had a Dad again and a wonderful caring boyfriend
