smug wasn't the right word to describe kit's face after he had just publicly announced we'd had sex.
i pulled his curly locks gently, earning his undivided attention. "kit harington, i am not a piece of candy."
"and i never intended to make you feel that way, adelaide kane. you're just so perfectly imperfect that i felt the need to let everyone know i was the lucky guy you were with." kit laced his fingers threw mine, pulling my hand away from his hair.
a smile curled on my lips, "i'm not perfect?"
"i'm not foolish enough to think that perfection exists, but you're the closest thing to it."
if silence was music, a deep love ballad would be deafening us in that very moment.
"i'm so sorry that i rejected you. i regret that everyday." my free hand traced his beard, running along the rough hairs.
kit shook his head softly, "how about this time you say yes, then?"
"say yes?" my eyebrows pulled together in confusion.
kit sat up, his arms wrapped around my waist to keep me on top of him. "be my-"
"kit harington, i want to wake up with you by my side, every single day. when you're ill i want to be around you, to care for you, just the same as when you are at your best. i want to be there through your hardships and downfalls, and the tough moments where you need a guiding hand. but, i want to be there when you outshine the sun with your happiness and strength.
"be my boyfriend, i promise you i will love you a little more each day."
kit's eyes widened at my speech. his grip tighter and his head leaning forward.
i leaned down slowly, hovering over his face with a smile. "yes. yes. yes."
kit sealed his decision with a kiss, making sure i knew how much he appreciated me.
