Mylo was sleeping soundly until she heard his voice. Again.

"Wakey wakey, Bliss!! Rise and shine!!" Ian's voice reverberated through the corridor and Mylo groaned.

"Stop. Calling. Me. Bliss!" Mylo demanded. Ian silenced. "If you say so, sweetheart."

Mylo grabbed a pillow, put it on her face, and screamed into it. Ian was so annoying!!

"Also, you're dad is one of my guards." Mylo stated, finally sitting up from her bed. Ian shrugged.

"I don't care. Here, let me open the door for you." Ian said casually.

"W-wait, what? You're opening my door?!" she panicked, but it softened once the door swung open and Mylo actually saw Ian's face. She caught her breath.

Ian had dark, messy black hair and midnight blue eyes that had stars in them. He was tall, fit, and wore a white t-shirt with regular jeans. His shoes were turquoise Converse, that surprised Mylo. Recently, she'd been able to go on the Internet and had found quite a bit of helpful stuff.

She was silent. Ian had cheekbones you could get a cut just by looking at them. His smiled was...fantastic. It made you feel instantly happy.

"Speechless already, Bliss?" Ian chuckled. Mylo scowled at him.

"Whatever." Crossing her arms, Mylo sat on her bed. Ian just smiled and sat down next to her. She had a downcast look in her green eyes and Ian noticed.

"What's wrong, Bli- Mylo?" Ian caught himself. Mylo sighed.

"You- you get to go outside everyday and see grass and birds and trees. Why would you come see me? A science experiment?" She asked, not looking Ian in the eyes.

Ian was slightly taken aback. Wait...she'd never been outside?! What kind of place is this?!

"Well, because, I guess I was curious. But you're funny, and cute, and interesting to talk to." he stated, running a hand through his hair. "But...I have a question for you."

Mylo's head shot up to look at him. Ian was staring at the soft crème colored walls.

"Wanna go outside?"

Mylo paused. She then began to explain what happened when he'd thrown the rock through her window. Ian blushed, embarrassed.

Then an idea popped into his head, but first his brain registered Mylo's features.

She had extremely long and knotted sandy brown hair, green eyes like emeralds. She had freckles and dimples like nobody else he'd ever met. She was only around 5'3", and he was maybe 6'0", so a lot taller than she was. He had to fight the urge to reach over and pull her close to his chest kiss her forehead.

  "Here's an idea. Turn around."

 "W-what?" Mylo stuttered.

"Turn. Around." Ian repeated.

Ian reached into his pocket and got out a sharp knife. How he sneaked it in there, nobody knows. Not even me, and I wrote this book... Anyways, he grabbed her hair and began slicing away at her hair. She stayed still, only flinching when he got close to her neckline.

Hair covered the mattress and floor. After the residual cutting, Ian grabbed a brush from his pocket and began to brush her now shoulder length hair.

After maybe an hour, Ian breathed. "Turn around."

Mylo turned around and Ian caught his breath. Her eyes were even more pronounced and her posture was straighter, like a weight was just taken off her shoulders.

"You look....beautiful." Ian said breathlessly. Mylo blushed.

"Thanks, butternut." she smirked, ruffling his hair with her hand. Ian's face shifted to confused but smiling.

"Butternut? Where in all the universe did you come up with that?" he asked, bewildered.

Mylo laughed. Holy shit her laugh is adorable, Ian thought to himself.

"I don't know." she shrugged her shoulders with a stifled laugh.

 "Well, Mylo. Looks like-"

Mylo screamed.
