Liz smiled warmly as the man approached the bar, his eyes darting between the menu and her. "What can I get you?" she asked, her friendly tone inviting him to make a choice.

The man squinted his eyes, carefully considering his options before finally settling on an old fashioned. He handed back the menu with a smile, and Liz couldn't help but notice the way his eyes crinkled at the corners. "Is that all?" Liz asked, noticing another man in a suit sitting down at the bar. He seemed stressed, his tie loosened and his hair slightly ruffled.

Liz couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy for him. But then, something interesting happened. As soon as the man looked up at her, his demeanor seemed to lighten. Liz couldn't help but smile back as he greeted her with a flirty grin. "Hello," he said, his voice smooth and charming. Liz glanced over at her coworker, a playful smile on her lips. "Hi," she replied, waiting for him to make his order. The man's eyes scanned the menu before he asked hopefully, "Do you have Dioer dobt?" Liz couldn't help but chuckle at his hopeful expression. "No, sorry," she shook her head.

"Well, then I'll have a Grey Goose Fruity. Yes, I'll try that, ma'am," he said with a grin.

Liz couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in disbelief. Ma'am? She couldn't remember the last time someone had called her that. But she pushed aside her surprise and continued with her job.

"Anything else, sir?" The man's gaze lingered on her as he answered, "Yes, your name?" "Liz," she side-eyed him as she made his drink. "And yours?" "David. David Lewinsky," he answered with a smile. Liz nodded, "Well, it's nice to meet you, David." "Where are you from, Liz?" David asked, making conversation. "The Bronx," Liz replied, a hint of pride in her voice. She couldn't help but feel a little flattered by his interest. "Really?" David complimented, "I have to admit, I've never been there before. You seem like you've got it together." Liz felt herself blush at his words, not knowing how to respond.

This guy was definitely a flirt. She placed his drink in front of him and asked, "So, where are you from?" "Upper East Side of Manhattan," David replied, taking a sip of his drink. Liz slowly nodded, "I figured." David gave her a questioning look, but then he took another sip of his drink and made a face. "Wow!" tears started to well in his eyes.

Liz couldn't help but laugh, as did her coworker.

"What did you give that poor man?" she asked through her chuckles. "Just a little southern-style whisky," Liz admitted, "Just to loosen him up a bit. The guy looked stressed."

"Whisky? I haven't had that since college," David admitted, wiping the tear from his eye. "Sorry, thought you needed to maybe loosen up a bit. The drink is on me," Liz said with a smile.

"Thank you. Also, one more thing," David said, getting serious for a moment.

"Yes?" Liz asked, curious.

"Can I take you out sometime?" David asked, his tone hopeful. Liz couldn't help but smirk and shake her head. "I'm good," she replied. She wasn't interested in dating her customers. "Why?" David asked, a slight pout forming on his lips.

"You don't seem like my type, David," Liz admitted. "Well, how about you get to know me first?" David protested, clearly not giving up. Liz looked at him and smiled, leaning in closer. "I need a man who can hold his whisky," she whispered, trying to hide her amusement.

David took the glass and swallowed it down fast, then slapped the glass down with a straight face. But Liz could tell he was struggling. "Yeah, still no," she said with a chuckle. "Well, here's my number in case you change your mind," David said, handing her his business card.

"Mmhm," Liz smirked and rolled her eyes. They stood there for a moment, making eye contact before David finally walked away. Liz couldn't help but feel a bit flustered by the encounter. This guy was definitely persistent. But she couldn't deny the spark of attraction between them. Maybe she'll give him a chance after all.
