Chapter 9: Reality

Kurt

My worst nightmare was happening. This was the second time I was in a hospital in a year, and this was a record. And the worst part is that is was because of Blaine.

I found Blaine on the floor, not breathing, with bruises and blood. I called 911 and they took Blaine to the hospital. Still now, I'm still in shock.

I'm outside Blaine's room, there's about five nurses inside trying to get Blaine to live.

I'm really scared. This is the second time. This wasn't supposed to happen. But all in life isn't it.

I remembered how the doctor said how Blaine was very sick. He would die, he would lost all his life. But there was a solution for this big mess, and I was the only one who knew it.

Fortunately, his wounds weren't that bad and he will be up in his feet around two weeks.

"Mr. Hummel?" A doctor asked.

"Yes?" I stand up from my sit and go straight to the doctor.

"We need to talk." He said and took me to a more silence place. "Kurt, we do everything we could but Blaine lost a little of his memory."

"What?!" I asked shocked.

"Yes, he don't remember the last 5 months. We know that because we asked him what day was. So, he thinks he's in the hospital because he fainted at that party five months ago." The doctor said.

"Okay, I can help him with that, but what about the other thing." I asked him.

"Right, about that, the request is still open, if you change your mind, we can talk to other patients and..." The doctor said.

"No, I'll do that. I'm ready." I said interrupting the doctor.

"Right, but now Blaine's fine. But with those damages, his time had reduced a little." The doctor said.

"Don't worry, I'll make it worth it." I said.

"You love him a lot, don't you?" The doctor asked.

I turned to look Blaine through the window. He was peacefully sleeping and was smiling because of his dream.

"You have no idea." I said smiling.

----------------------------------------------

"Blaine, honey?" I said opening the door.

"Hey Kurt, I missed you." Blaine said waking up.

"Yeah? I do too." I said. "Although it was only one day." I said under my breath.

"Come again?" Blaine asked.

"Oh nothing..." I said, sitting next to Blaine. He took my hand and squeezed it.

"What does the doctor said to you?" Blaine asked me.

"He told me you were getting better and that... You can go out of the hospital today at night. You'll be in my house and in my school, is that okay?" I said.

"Yeah! That great! We can go to work together! Wait, school? Isn't that in two weeks or so? What day is it?" Blaine asked confused.

I kept silenced. I didn't know what to say. I decided to tell him the truth. After all, he eventually would know.

"Blaine." I said putting my hand in his shoulder and facing him. "Today is October 5, and... You lost a little of your memory. We have been dating for 6 months, and you live in my house. You go to my school and you're in glee club. You're in the hospital again because the bullies in school punch you and kick you. And I'm so sorry that I couldn't do anything." I said almost crying.
