Unlike me, my younger sister, Macy Powers became popular. She's the ninth grade beauty at Thornton. Unlike me, she is pretty. We don't look alike. I always wondered why I had to look this way. Anyways, Macy has a huge friend group she practically leads and a "cute" boyfriend. You know who she hates most?
Me. When we moved, Macy was nice. She believed we both can make friends. But she changed and said I was an embarrassment once she realized she was making friends and I wasn't. The rest of the day just went normal. I went to bed early instead of doing my homework. I stared at the ceiling of my bed and cried like usual. There are many books and movies of people coming out of sadness and being happy. Why can I be happy. Everyone hates me. I'm ugly.At the end. Nobody remembered my birthday. I sing myself a happy birthday and close my eyes. Tears fell. I couldn't sleep so I just kept my eyes closed. Something shined in the corner of my eye. A dream. Did i finally fall asleep. Except i opened my eyes and there was actually something shining on my desk. It was 11:59. I look towards my desk and there was a box with a tag on it. Someone actually got me a present. No way. I run up to the desk. It was a tiny golden box. It looked expensive. A tag was on top of it.
I was confused. This is definitely not from my parents. Its too fancy and whats with the "A." I opened the box. Inside was a mini scroll and a necklace. I pick up the necklace and stare at it. My eyes grow wide. "T-T-Th-This necklace." It was the Necklace Ive been seeing in my dreams. It was a silver sword with a rainbow opal crested in the center of it. The opal was picking up the light and glowing. It was in my hands. It was real. This is not a dream right.
I grab my school notebook and compare my drawings. Everything except the "A" engraved on it is correct. What is this present and who is "A?" I reach for the tiny scroll. Maybe this has the answers.
Instead of answers I got more confused. So my parents did get me this. How is that possible? I shrug and decide to press the button. It clicked. "What the-" The necklace stared glowing. I blinked. I'm not dreaming right. The necklace's glow in my hands moved from the necklace to my whole body. I look in the mirror and I was glowing. I blinked and before my eyes were huge silver "A" crested doors. I fall back in shock. I was standing on clouds? It was kind of dark. There were lamps hung beside the big door. The door was humongous. Where am I?
