CHAPTER TWO:
I rose up from the bed. Yawned and stretched. Oh boy, I just remembered, my parents are going to LA today and I'm moving to Chloe's today. Even my parents started packing yesterday, there's still a lot to manage. This calls for a stressful morning. Good thing I had enough sleep yesterday!
I went downstairs and yep, there's so much bags in the floor! My dad is fixing the stuff inside the bags, and my mom is busy cooking breakfast, but rushing. I hate it when everyone's busy, it makes everything stressful!
Emily: mom, dad, so early and you're already stressing yourself.
Mom: we have to! By the way, I made some garlic bread. It's on the table, be sure to eat quickly because lunch is also on the way.
Emily: oh geez. *goes to the dining table and eats*I finished breakfast, and I brushed my teeth and took a bath. It takes me an hour to finish taking a bath, so I had to go first(lmao).
Then we ate lunch. Lunch today is awesome! My favorite; pink salmon! I ate a lot, because I'm a hungry pig. And by that, yes, I get hungry a lot of times. But I never get fat, so overeating is not a problem to me.
Also, when biking, I mostly stop by at a small store to buy snacks when I get tired. Hm, do I have to buy snacks on my way to Chloe's? Don't know. Maybe her dad has something for a treat, and I'm not really in the mood right now to go in the small store.
LATER...
Emily: *is inside the car*
Dad: *drives to Chloe's* you're sure you didn't forget anything?
Emily: yep, I have my clothes, toothbrush, comb, my sketchbooks, drawing materials, my phone, and.. Yeah!
Mom: be a good girl there, okay?
Emily: of course, mom.
Mom: and make sure you won't go anywhere without Chloe or the elders!
Emily: yes, I know, mom.
Mom: just reminding you.We arrived at Chloe's.
Dad: you're okay out there?
Emily: probably gonna feel homesick, but I'll get used with it anyway.
Dad: alright. Be safe and hopefully have fun!
Emily: I will! *exits car*
Dad and Mom: bye!
Emily: bye!I watched my parents and the car drive somewhere else. Agh, now it's so quiet. I was just right outside Chloe's house, and everyone heard the car. So before I could even go outside, Chloe, her dad, and her brother, Rene.
Chloe's dad: there you are, Emily! Come inside.
I went inside Chloe's house. I've been here before, in Christmas. We even sang in the karaoke here! But I didn't really remember anything about this place, so it feels new to see it again.
Also, I've been feeling really shy and I wasn't talking that much. I just left my bag at the couch in the living room, and put all my other personal stuff in the table in Chloe's room.Chloe: *goes inside her bedroom* oh, Emily! My bedroom isn't sheeted yet, so are the pillows. Sorry for that! Don't worry, I'll get them!
Chloe's dad: Chloe, the bed and pillows! Sheet them!
Chloe: doing it, dad! *to Emily* wait, okay?
Emily: *chuckles* *nods*
Chloe: *goes outside*Chloe is really nice. Also, remember what my dad told me? He said that me and Chloe were so close as children, and maybe we can make that happen again. Let me tell you about it.
Me and my parents have been taking vacations in Malibu ever since I'm just a baby, and ever since I'm a toddler. And we always stay at Chloe's place. Chloe and her family still lives in her uncle's house back then, because years ago, they don't have their own house yet. So it means, we also stay at my uncle's.
Me and Chloe are so close, and that made me assume we're sisters even we're not! But by blood or not, you can call someone your sibling or whatsoever.
And even we don't really resemble each other(since we're just cousins), our bond and relationship is more like.. twin bond. We're like twins! So close, and we're each other's, ONLY, best friend.
