I checked my bag and saw that I only had one sanitary pad. I'm not on my period kasi. Unlike Hailey.
"Don't swim nalang," sabi ko sa kanya.
"Ikaw Scarlet?" Hailey looks so desperate. Gusto niya kasing i-show off ang bikini bod niya which is impossible dahil malakas ang kanyang bulkan ngayon.
"Nope."
The rest of the ride was the usual. Natulog lang ako. I dreamt about some ramdom guy kneeling down in front of me. He wasn't holding anything, no ring, nothing. He bowed his head so hindi ko makita mukha niya. They woke me up when the car stopped by a convenient store.
Pumasok kami dun at kumuha ng kakailanganin namin. I got clover chips, mang juan, pringles, a can of sprite, water and gummy worms. Pipila na sana ako but then I saw a group of guys that look oddly familiar.

I jumped in surprise kaya nahulog lahat ng bitbit ko. The guy quickly picked them up. I wanted to help but his broad shoulders and toned arms are distracting. He was wearing a suit before so hindi ko na-appreciate.
"Ikaw yung. . ka-table ko dati diba? Sa prom?" I asked him.
Yeah, that cute guy who was supposed to ask you for a dance but hindi natuloy.
I wanted him to say that but he didn't.
Instead he placed the foods sa empty basket niya which I assume he will give to me nalang because I was stupid enough not to use one.
"Ka-table? Ay, oo." Kinamot niya ulo niya. He's always itchy when he sees me.
"Danny, diba?"
"Ha? Ah—"
And just like a year ago, someone interrupted him.Someone I was trying to hide from because I don't know if he will take revenge.
"Tol! Nandyan ka pa pala?"
My ears hurt with the voice of that maniac who called me cheap. Akala ko ba lumabas na siya? I was ready to hit him again but Danny's shoulders, or whatever his name is, blocked my view. He's taller than me so I'm covered.
"I forgot something bro, but we can go now. Tara."
"Is someone behind you?"
No, please. Tell him no.
"Yeah? But I don't know her. Lets go."
Danny pushed him away and made sure he didn't look back.
We never got to properly introduce ourselves again. Not that maniac, but Danny. I transferred school for college and we never really communicated. I hoped for something else but I guess it was just nothing.
I sighed and stared at the basket.
