ONE MONTH BEFORE
I was driving back from work. I got an appointment with the agent as i received the call earlier.
"Miss Cherise I book the appointment for you this Wednesday to see the house." Say Miss Evelyn the person from the advertising company.
"Oh thank you so much. The sooner the better because I need the place urgently." I reply back when she call me at work.
"The pleasure is mine. You will be meeting with Miss Daisy at the house. Thank you for your time."
I drive slowly on the shadowy lane. Each side has big tree and makes the road so peaceful and nice to pass through. I look for a cheap house that was advertised in the newspapers. I need a new place to stay. I just start a new job and I need a place to stay that not so far from work and easy for me to travel.
I stop at the grey color house. It's a corner lot with a little bit garden. So far it looks good. I parked the car and went out. I look around and see the house. It has a blue door. I pressed the bell beside the knocker. A young lady opens the door.
"Miss Cherise. Welcome." She smile at me and welcome me in.
"Hi you must be Miss Daisy," I replied back to her.
"Please come in."
"Thank you."
I stepped into the house and my eyes wonder over the entrance. From the outside it look more like a cottage. From inside it was a big house.
"Here is the living room. Next to it the dining and here is the kitchen."I look into the kitchen. I love the little island in the middle easy for me to cook.
Upstairs is have more rooms. We go into the master bedroom. I walk inside the room and it suited me. There one question, why need a big house when i stay alone? Mmm but I can't believe that this house so big with a good price. When I see price for this house I never thought it was a big house. I really think it a small house and since I stay alone I agree to it.
"There another rooms at the other side. Maybe you want to make it a guest room." Daisy said to me and explained more about the house.
"Well thank you for everything. I really like the house." I really love it. It's suitable for me.
"If you find everything is ok then we can sign the agreement." She smile and lead me back to the living room downstair.
"Yeah sure. Let go." I follow behind her.
We go back to the living room. Since the house is fully furnished there already sofa and table so we sit down and I see Daisy take out the document from the bag that she carried.
"Here the agreement you may want to read first before you sign. If there any question I will answer for you." She said and take out the pen for me to sign.
I read the agreement slowly. It stated there no alteration or changes is allowed except you discuss it with the owner of the house. I continue reading and when I finished I put my signature at the bottom.
"I have a question for you Ms Daisy. Why is the price is so cheap?" I asking and look at her. I pass the agreement.
"Well the owner of the house just wants a reasonable price to the tenant." She said and checking the agreement and see everything is in order.
"Don't you think it too reasonable? How many tenant before?" I asking again and she have that poker face like she don't really care or cant explain about it.
"Not many. Few families have stays here before. Well as the years go by they come and go." She replied and pack everything.
"I really need the house to stay and with this price it very good for me."
"Here your keys. I hope you have a great time in this house. You may call me if there any problem. Take care." She get up from the sofa and look like she been late to someone party. I get up as well and follow her.
"Thank you. Have a save journey." I say and closed the door after she left.
