Ch. 10 : Be Careful

Yoongi drove to the Big Hit building in a medium speed. He's thinking about what might they have to talk about. He thought he had been very secretive with Irene and no one knew about it except for Jin. But if that's really the case, he's ready with some explanation and defense for her.

He parked his car and saw BTS' van already there. That means some of them haven't left the dorm yet.

In the meeting room he saw the anxious faces of his members and managers. Waiting for their director to come and start the meeting.

"What are we here for this time?", Yoongi asked Sejin, their road manager.

"I don't know either. But they told me to make sure you come.", Sejin replied carefully. Trying not to make the kid feel bad.

"Sorry guys.", Yoongi said to his members.

No one replied, only Namjoon patting him in the back. Telling him it's okay.

Bang PD finally came with two other staffs. They all looked serious. Yoongi isn't having a good feeling. This is not a meeting for the next comeback for sure. There is no stylist and make up artist team, no choreographer, no producers, no projector prepared for concept presentation.

"Good afternoon, guys.", Bang PD greeted them, trying to melt the tension.

"I know you guys are on break, this is a quick meeting. I won't make it long.", he entertwined his two hands together. "Suga, why do you think we're having this meeting?"

Yoongi lost all the colors on his face but still trying to keep it professional in front of the boss. "I would like to know why, Sir."

"Look guys, we're a good company. I let you guys do your own music, create your own entertainment for the fans, let you have a lot of days off, and respect your very own privacy.", he takes a sip of his water. "Yoongi, no one knew about it yet, but you need to be careful."

Yoongi's blood runs cold.

"I respect that you are still being very productive. I really liked your Never Mind intro, and you're putting a good effort for your mixtape. I respect your personal life, but I beg you, be careful."

The boys are widening their eyes on each other. Wondering what is actually going on.

Yoongi avoided every eye contact. "I'm sorry, Sir."

"There is no need to be sorry yet. But please be careful. I don't ask you to stop seeing important people in your life, but when it comes to that person, it is a big deal." , Bang PD says sternly. Making Yoongi squirm.

The rest of the boys are widening their eyes at each other. Trying to figure out the person Bang PD was talking about. From what they remember, Yoongi is very secretive with people he's close with. They remember the fans were shocked that he's actually friends with EXO's Chanyeol, Zhoumi, even Heechul. That's how smooth he is.

"This goes the same for the rest of the group too. I never put my hands on your personal business. I never even ban you from dating. But, let's be considerate for your partner too. Be careful.", Bang PD looks around the room. The boys are avoiding his gaze.

"I didn't plan this meeting, so I don't have a lot to say. You guys are supposed to be on break as well. So I think that's it for today. See you next week.", Bang PD finishes the meeting and left the room with some of the staffs.

Sejin walked over to Yoongi. "I'm sorry for saying this, but you really need to be careful."

"What happened, Hyung? How did he find out?", Yoongi tries to hold his anger.

"Some of the staffs saw you making such suspicious moves on her. It was actually okay if you're only doing that off-stage. But yesterday in Music Bank, you immediately reached for her after the interview session. You were lucky enough we have Taehyung, and not many fans noticed that.", Sejin tried to explain softly without offending the already hurt boy.

"Sorry, guys. I'm making so much fuss.", Yoongi slouched on his seat, his shoulders slumped and head down. His fingers fiddling on his shirt.

"Hyung, it's okay to share with us, we should always talk about things through.", Namjoon getting on his leader mode trying to make Yoongi open up of what is happening.

"Yes. We should. I'm sorry.", Yoongi scratched his head roughly.

"You can calm yourself down. We can talk just by two if you want to.", Namjoon grabbed him a bottle of water.

"Thanks.", Yoongi takes a big gulp on the water and inhaled a deep breath.

"I guess all of you guys need to know since he called all of us here.", Yoongi fixed his seat. "I'm making a move on Irene."

The members didn't seem to be surprised.

"I was beinig extra yesterday so I guess the staff noticed. Since Irene is a big deal, I think that's why they called all of us here.", Yoongi scratched the nape of his neck.

"It's a good news that you're finally making a move on her. But yes, I agree that we should be considerate with girl group members.", Jimin added. "I was being too obvious with Seulgi, she suffered a lot because of me. Now we're drifting away.", Jimin patted Yoongi's back. "Think about that, you don't want to throw the friendship you had built since 2009."

"That's what I'm thinking too. But he should've just called me instead of calling all of you guys here.", Yoongi forced a bitter smile.

"Hyung, you should've talked about it with us first. That way we can find a way to hide it from the staff. We could've helped you.", Namjoon rubbed Yoongi's back. Trying to make him feel better.

"Thanks, bro. I know I should have. I was worried that you guys won't approve, so."

"No, Hyung, we'll support each other as long as it's a good thing.", Jimin the sweetheart trying to make Yoongi smile. "It's a good thing that you finally admit your feeling towards her."

"Thank you. I'll send your regards to Seulgi when I meet her, okay?", Yoongi reaches out his palm for a highfive.

Seokjin is sitting in a distance with Taehyung. Trying to make him feel better. He's not looking so good as the boys keep encouraging Yoongi with Irene.

Seokjin rubbing up and down on Taehyung's back. Trying to calm his nerves. Telling him he knows what's up.

Taehyung never told anyone about it. But he's sure he had made it obvious enough for them to notice. He kept talking about her as Hoseok talks about Wendy and Jimin talks about Seulgi. They are roommates after all. But still, Irene and Yoongi's friendship for 7 years won't change anything. Irene meant so much for Yoongi, that's why Taehyung never actually confesses.

Yoongi drove back to Red Velvet's dorm. Thinking of a way he should tell Irene about it.

"Oh? You're back so quickly.", Irene was eating her lunch alone, quickly prepares another bowl of rice for him. "I set aside some for you. I didn't know you would be back so fast."

"Wow. Everything looks good."

"What was it about?", Irene asked.

"What?", Yoongi widened his eyes with his stuffed cheeks.

"The meeting. What was it about?"

"Uhm, let's talk about that later.", Yoongi sits down and grabbed his chopsticks.

"Okay.", Irene wasn't thinking of pushing Yoongi. He wasn't looking so good when he arrived. Probably not something so pleasing.

"This one is good.", Yoongi says pointing at the spicy braised fish in front of him.

Irene smiled looking at him eating well. Yoongi isn't Jungkook or Jin, he's not eating that much. But it's so pleasing once you see him stuffing his cheeks with foods.
