Chapter 23

[Creamspots's POV]

I headed toward the Moonpool for the meeting of the medicine cats. I met up with Sunfern and Starling near their border as usual. They helped me and guided me through their territory, LilyClan's, and MapleClan's. I was grateful for the two medicine cats and I was glad they had decided to come back to the medicine cat gatherings.

"I'm still worried. A moon is hardly enough time to get all the warriors we need to train." Sunfern's voice sounded from my side. I nodded with a sigh.

"I know, I just hope we can beat them. It's less than a moon away now. At least, Tinyclaw's kits are less than a moon away from being born. That's all we have to gauge it by." I said before feeling more pawsteps with us. It must be Mintshy.

"Are we talking about the next attack?" Mintshy's weak voice asked. I nodded to her.

"Yes. You have any other news about the Dark Forest?" I asked her staring toward the direction her voice and pawsteps were coming from.

"No, no other information than what everyone else knows. We have the cross the stream, be careful." Mintshy said as her pawsteps faded away and I heard the water.

I hated this part. I carefully put my paw down and felt the slippery rock under it. I jumped onto it and reached for the next one. It was hard to find it but I soon found it. I leaped to it and tried to find the last one. Once I found it, I did a small leap onto it and then a bigger leap to try ground.

"I wonder if Doveflame and Pricklestorm will know anything else." Starling said as he appeared by my side. I just nodded and followed them through MapleClan's territory.

"Hello Creamspots. I have some news. I believe we need to wait for Blizzardleap first. We can discuss it when he gets here." Doveflame's voice said with more pawsteps. I guessed they were Pricklestorm's paws.

"Alright, lets go ahead and get to the Moonpool." I said as I followed the found of pawsteps and their scent to it. I scented someone new and looked toward them.

"Blizzardleap? Are you here already?" I asked not sure if it was him or someone else.

"Yes, I'm here. I got here early." He chuckled coming closer to us.

"Good, we are all here. I have some news. I've been meeting Tinyclaw. I know she's a murderer but she's going to be a mother in less than a half a moon. She's also the leader of the Dark Forest at the moment. I'm only meeting her to get information out of her. It's working so far." Doveflame said as she headed toward to the Moonpool. I followed her scent next and heard the others coming.

"Only a half a moon! Great StarClan! This is going to be even harder. I don't think this is enough time for us to prepare." I sighed thinking about all the lives that could be lost in this fight.
