It was another bland day, get up, go to work, come home, draw a few clothing designs, then go to bed. Nothing ever seemed to change your lifestyle. But, you didn't have many friends, and the ones you did, you only worked with.
That's why when you met Kevin, your life changed quite drastically. You had someone to speak with out of working hours. Someone who understood you more than anyone else!
But there was one problem. Kevin never mentioned him having a multiple personality disorder. You didn't know whether he was embarrassed of it, or even afraid to mention it, thinking he would scare you off.
The only way you found out was when you decided to visit him, as a surprise! Which led to you buying the two of you your favorite warm drinks, and walking all the way to his small apartment.
When you'd gotten there you prepared yourself for knocking on the door, that led to his room. Taking a moment of doing so, you eventually gathered up the courage to give a patterned knock to the woodened door.
"Kevin! Hello?" You called out chirpily. Standing on your tippy toes to look through the small opening.
The door was opened quite quickly, giving you a small smile on your face.
"I brought you a drink, thought maybe we could talk?"You were about to hand Kevin the drink, when you realized his ora was completely off. He was dressed differently than normal, and gave you a judging look. "Baby girl, what are you wearing?"
His voice came off snide, making you falter back from the excitement you once had; eyes looking down to the outfit, that you used to believe was cute.. "M-My nice outfit, why?"
At this comment he let out a loud laugh, causing you to immediately tear up. Your heart was cracking inside your chest, the only thing you could feel was a burning sensation of emotional pain.
When he noticed the tears trickling down your cheeks, his face softened.
"Oh, no.. don't cr-"You cut him off by dropping the drink at his feet, completely drenching his nice shoes. "Fuck off, Kevin!" You cried out, running off down the hallway. Not looking back as the man pleaded for you to do so.
You'd eventually made it home, ripping the clothes from your skin, leaving you bare. You looked at yourself in the mirror, breaking down even more when you saw the hurt expression that took over your normally positive attitude.
What had gotten into Kevin? Since when did he care of fashion to the point of judging others?
You sunk to the floor, knees going to your chest as you rocked back and forth. "I'll show him.." You mumbled though the sobs, looking over at the fashion designs that were pinned to your wall.

It had been a week from when you had the heart breaking run in with Kevin. From then you'd gotten dozens of messages from the clearly sorry male. But none of them you were bothering to look at.
The judgement you'd witnessed that day determined you to put out your ideas. Whether that meant taking it straight to your boss's face or not.
You'd been drawing vigorously. Never once putting down the pencil. Not to eat, or even sleep. The determination being enough energy you needed to keep going.
The only time you'd stopped was when you heard a knock at the door. Thinking it was the food you'd ordered from lack of eating, you'd gotten up from your seat; feet pattering down against the wooden floor beneath you as you reached the door in minimal time.
"How much do I-" You'd opened up the door in time to see the man that took up your mind, more than half of the time.
"Kevin. What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here after what happened last week," You mumbled out, gaze going down to your feet.
"L-Look, Y/N, I've kept this secret from you since the beginning.. but I suspect it is time to inform you." He said, handing you a bouquet of uniquely colored flowers.
You were beginning to speak up once more, when he'd cut you off from doing so.
"I'm K-Kevin Wendell Crumb, and I have multiple personalities.." He stuttered out, looking anywhere but your face. Afraid of how you'd react to the newly learned information.
It took a moment for you to realize what he had spoken up about. The realization hitting you when you looked up at him. "How many?"
He was confused by how you didn't shut the door on him and refuse to speak with him again, but instead gained curiosity about his disorder.
"I have twenty three personalities.."
Your eyes widened at the amount, sucking a shaky breath between your lips. "Was the person I'd encountered earlier.. another personality?"
He nodded his head, "Barry. But he is really sorry for being so judgemental. He's actually been upset about it for a while.."
"I'd like to hear this from Barry himself, please.." You spoke up, Kevin growing nervous at the idea. But letting it slip through his approval.
"Hi, baby girl.." Barry spoke up, his voice coming off sorrowful as he stepped into your apartment. You shutting the door behind the both of you. "Kevin is right.. you know" He said, eyes examining over your shambled walls.
"I'm deeply sorry for my judgment the other day,"
You nodded, stepping closer to him. "I believe you, Barry. I really do. But I barely just met you.. how could I not expect more from you?"
The words rolled off your tongue, almost cutting at your own throat as you spoke them up.
"I suppose I'll have to change your imitation of me then!" He called out, clapping his gloved hands together as he moved across your apartment. Gasping at the sight of your drawings.
"Did you draw these?" He asks, looking over at you with sparkling eyes. You nodded in response, arms folding together.
"They're breath taking.." His voice faded as he'd realized the guilt he felt in his chest. "Let me design with you."
Your ears perked up at his words, lips parting open. "Oh, I don't know, Barry. I've never really done anything of that sort."
He laughed, grabbing at your paper. "Oh, nonsense! We could build the most astonishing project with our two minds! Let me do this for you.."
At this you felt compelled to let the male design with you. "Fine! Let's do it!"
And that was how you met Barry...
