Touka POV
I ran up to the rooftop, extremely excited. I walked up to Higaku but found myself speechless.
Just go for it.
I tapped Higaku on the shoulder and he looked at me. I blushed fiercely and stuttered a lot.
"Uh h-hi," I stammered.
"Hello," he said. OH MY DOG HE'S SPEAKING TO MEEEEEEE!!! I cried in my head.
"Um, w-what do you think about the m-murders yesterday?" I asked, sounding sad.
"Very unfortunate," he said sounding sad too. Suddenly I spotted Ryoto a couple feet behind Higaku with cue cards.
"Um, how's your day so far?" I read the cue card.
"Pretty normal. I'm still trying to think of what to wear for the end of school dance," he said.
Ryoto scribbled on a cue card and it said you should wear me!
I resisted laughing and gave him my honest answer. "You should wear what you feel would suit you best! A-are you asking anyone?" I went back to stuttering.
"Yeah, I might have to go shopping," he said. "I don't know who I'll ask."
I read another cue card. "Why do you always hang out on the roof?"
"Are you a reporter?" He laughed. "I like the nice scenery and the ride and fall of the sun."
"That sounds poetic," I said.
"Probably is," he chuckled.
I smiled. He saw my smile and said, "has anyone told you you're cute when you smile?"
I blushed the most I've ever had in my life.
"I-I don't k-know?" I asked. He laughed.
"You know, I wouldn't mind going with someone to the dance," he said.
"There's so many people in this school, you never know," I said. The bell rang.
"I wouldn't mind going with you," he said. "I'll talk to you later." With that, he grabbed his book bag and left. I just stood there dumbfounded.
