"He won't like it." I huffed in annoyance.

"C'mon he will," Louis said while sprawling himself on the couch. Meanwhile, Dahlia got on the couch to hug him.

" Marcel come here?" Dahlia asked with hopeful eyes.

"Yes, honey, he'll be here," I said, I would have preferred for me and Marcel to be alone, but I wanted to be with my daughter as well. Anyway, she'll go to bed at nine-thirty as always so I'll get to stay alone with Marcel after that.

"Yes, yes, Marcy. I will play with Marcy!" She started to clap her hands and jumped on Louis' lap.

He groaned "Oh God, Dahlia, stop please or you'll kill me!"

She stopped and pouted " but I love Marcy."

I chuckled. It seemed as I wasn't her favorite anymore.

" We know Dahlia. Now I'm going to change myself, don't kill Louis in the meanwhile."

She nodded and Louis grinned.

I went into my room and changed into a black pair of jeans and a   black shirt. Yes not too imaginative, but black was my color, plus I didn't want to look too dressed up, I wanted to keep it casual, after all, we were staying at my apartment.

I went back to the living room, after doing my hair in a quiff. I found Louis and Dahlia on the floor playing with Barbies.

Louis had the blonde one while Dahlia the brunette.

"Hey you look beautiful, darling!" Louis squealed in a high pitched voice.

"Can not say the same." Dahlia joked.

Louis pouted and said in the same high pitched voice. "Not nice, really."

I cleared my throat, coughing a bit.

They both turned in my direction.

Louis smiled sweetly. " You look hot, mate."

"What hot? It's january, it's cold." Dahlia said actually confused.

We looked at each other and burst out laughing at the same time.

Louis picked her and got up with her in his arms.

" Darling, it's a way to say your dad looks beautiful. Doesn't he?"  My friend explained to her.

"Oh then, daddy is super hot." Dahlia squealed.

"Now dad has to go pick Marcel up, will you go with him?" He asked again.

"Yes, yes Marcy." She said clapping her hands.

Louis put her gently on the floor and she ran towards me and I picked her up.

"C'mon Zayn, hurry up or you'll be late." Louis said.

"Thank you, Lou." I said, because he helped me cook the dinner and in general with my life and Dahlia.

He grinned. "Don't worry, love, that is what friends are for. And don't work yourself up too much, he will love whatever you'll do for him." He assured me.

We said good bye to each others and took different directions.

As me and Dahlia were walking towards Marcel's house I couldn't do anything but get more anxious at every step that I took.

It was so long that I took someone on a date. Heck, it was so long that I liked someone this much.

Besides, this time was different from the last time I took someone on a date, because this time I had a daughter . And if Marcel was willing to go on a date with me despite me already having a daughter he had to be a special one.

We arrived in front of Marcel's front door and I knocked hesitantly.

In a matter of seconds he opened the door.

I took in his appearance. He looked amazing, even hot.

He had some black jeans, a white shirt and a black vest. His hair was gelled back as usual. What shocked me the  most was that he didn't have his glasses on, he had his lenses.

I smiled at that, he remembered I liked to look into his eyes. They were a perfect shade of green, how couldn't I?!

"Hi," he croaked out blushing.

"Hello babe." I said kissing his cheek, feeling his skin getting warmer.

"Marcyyy!" Dahlia squeaked.

Marcel noticed her presence and smiled big.

He kneeled down and kissed her cheek. Oh boy, how she loved that.

He got up taking her hand  and I said: "I know we should have to be alone for it to be a date, but I couldn't leave her again with Lou or Perrie. She won't be a burden, anyway, she has to go to bed early." I rambled.

"Zayn," he said sternly, "she is not a burden."

I thought I couldn't smile bigger, but I did.

He continued talking as we started walking, Marcel following my lead.

"Talking about Perrie, she is quite the character. She swears a lot, but she is so funny! We should hang out with her sometimes."

"Oh God, no." I said, that would be too embarassing.

" C'mon" he pouted," she is nice, plus she told me a lot of hilarious stories about you, while I drived her to university."

"And that's exactly why I don't want to hang out with you and her together." I groaned.

He chuckled and took my hand.

"Those stories were really cute by the way" he said cheekily.

We kept walking hand in hand. It gave a warm feeling to my heart.

We got soon in front of my apartment's building. Marcel recognized it.

"Are we staying at your apartment?" He asked curious.

"Yep, It's not much, but I hope you'll like it"

"I will love it." He squeezed my hand.

We soon got into my apartment. We took off our shoes and I told Marcel to make himself at home.

" I have to finish cooking our dinner, it'll take  about ten minutes. Louis helped cooking by the way." I said.

He was about to sit on the couch and I was about go behind my kitchen counter while Dahlia came up with a request.

"Can we build a fort?"

Sooo here I am again sorry for the long wait but I have final exams of high school and I have to study a lot.

I promise that when they'll be over I will update at least twice a week.

Next chapter is the whole date.

Bye, - Ale ♡
