Amaris and Isaac reluctantly followed Pan. Amaris, being the defiant person she is, continued to try to wriggle her hand free from Pan's grip. Pan just keep squeezing tighter. By this time, Amaris's hand's circulation has been cut off. Isaac just shook his head and followed cautiously. Could we really find a way to get to our parents? Isaac thought. As his thoughts twirled into a million different possible outcomes of this trip, it was quickly interrupted by Pan's voice. "We're here." he said half growling.
"Could you let go of me now?" Amaris said with her sass, while trying to yank her hand from Pan.
"I'll let you go, but if you try anything I'm using chains." Without breaking eye contact, Pan let go of her hand.

They continued to walk through the Lost Boy camp. Half of the Lost Boys were hooping and hollering like heathens around their camp fire, the other half were in the twins' faces. It was now pitch black with a crescent moon above the island, and the camp fire glowed brightly.

What in the gods name is Pan planning? He couldn't possibly be wanting to help us? Isaac thought. He noticed Amaris was getting skittish, and her eyes were getting wide. She hates it when there are loud noises, or people are too close. Isaac reached out and held Amaris's hand.
"Focus on the camp fire." Isaac whispered softly, yet quickly.

Amaris's POV

I held Isaac's hand as the obnoxious Lost Boys screamed and yelled right in our faces. But finally, after what seemed like and eternity, we entered the jungle yet again. The sound faded behind us, and I looked at Isaac with a puzzled look. What the Hades?

"Alright, I'm going to explain this really quick. There is a pond on this island. You can ask it any question and it will give you the true, current answer. You can ask it wherever your parents are, and I will let you off this island, and you two will be off my island. As much as I hate you two, I love living here where I can do whatever I want, while being in charge. I will take you to the pond, and let you leave. We're doing it all tonight. Now let's go." Pan said quickly, and ended before either of us had a chance to react.
"What about when we get off. How are we supposed to find our parents from London?!" I said furiously, while clenching my fists, refusing to get my hand gripped like a mis-behaving child on a school field trip.
"Hush, Amaris. We will figure it out. If we have enough luck for Pan to be helping us, then we have enough luck to find a way to our parents."
I huffed, but kept my motor mouth shut.

We now approached the cave. I was nervous of course, who was our mother? Our father? Why am I caramel, and Isaac pale? Why did they give us up? Questions I've asked my entire life might actually be answered!
"We're here. Go in. Ask the questions you need to ask, then get out. We are on a time limit."
"What do you mean-" I was cut off.
"GO!" He yelled. Isaac rushed me in and we both ran through the short tunnel, leading to an open space, with a pond. The water was dark, but clear. With the little light we had to see, you could see almost completely through the water. I looked over at Isaac. We have both been waiting for this moment our entire lives. We couldn't waste time though, so I quickly said, in a shaky tone, "Show us our mother."
The pond shimmered, and an image appeared before. Only, it was not what we expected to see.
