2. "Oh peace...!"

Mortal eyes need to dance harder, as if
On the fragile hearth of an unnamed farm girl
For pieces of shimmying immortal ashes;
For a peace of good fortune, for it is
The way to replace the seen with the unseen.

Oh peace! Where hast thy overrunning legs run to?
Where hast thy overrunning legs ferried thee?
Leaving your unsullied legacy in rags and tatters
And your fans in the unforgiving clutches of
Your old obedient minion and now fascinating rival

I wonder o' don't you wonder?
A story weaved with thatchy titanium thread
Is shredded by the absence of cohesion
In the clandestine hearts of men and monsters.
Oh peace!...

Oh peace! We hate you but we love you
Would you still come back to our gel-less life?
Oh peace! Why hast thy rival not been named?
We forgot your ways and our way between shadows.
Shadows of horror and hope. Oh peace!
