Chapter 10

Sebastian fell asleep on the couch, like mom used to do on stressful nights so I was left to put a blanket on him.

I pulled on my jacket and headed out of the apartment for a walk.

     I walked down the familiar streets, hands in my pockets.

Raphael and I used to walk through here, late at night cause that was the only time he could go out.

I turned the corner, bumping into someone I realized my ruin wasn't activated.

"I am so sorry." I said looking at the stranger, only to realize who it was.

"Never mind, I'm not." I turned back only for Raphael to stop me.

"Saga, please I'm sorry."

I shook my head looking at him, tears threaten to come out.

"You let my best friend drink your blood, instead of telling me she needed help. She laid in your arms like she was yours, you held her like you used to hold me. I was in danger in pain and you went to her! And you want me to forgive you." I asked stepping back.

"I know, I thought I was helping but I wasn't. Saga, I love..."

"Saga?"

I turned to see Sebastian leather jacket and all, walking this way.

"Sebastian."

I ran to my big brother's arms, as I felt Raphael giving him a glare.

"Are you alright? Who's this?" Sebastian asked.

"I'm fine, and this is my ex fiance, Raphael, he you could say cheated on me with my best friend." I said.

"Well, let's get you back. Nice to meet you Raphael." Said Sebastian taking my hand.

    I laid in bed, messaging Clary, who was with Jace and Valentine.

'Any news on the cup?'

'Nope, none'

'What about Simon? How's he coping with the new walking in sunshine?'

'It's good, where are you anyway? I called Alec and he said you weren't there'

'I'm with another shadowhunter, he's cool. We bumped into Raphael...'

'Have you talked to him? I know Izzy'

'I don't want to talk to either of them, they hurt me. I'm going to head to bed, message me when you have more answers'

'Okay, goodnight. Love you'

'I love you too'

I shut off my phone, before turning off my light.

I rolled over on to my side, holding my blanket close to me, as I fell asleep.
