Damp Laundry
Ryeowook [Super Junior]- cute&romantic
(Your POV)
You sighed as you hung the wet laundry on the line, enjoying the tranquility of the morning. "Enjoy it while you can," you grandfather said from his perch on the poarch.
"Why do you say that?" you asked him.
"Because it's gonna rain later."
You looked up, studying the blue sky. "But there isn't a cloud in the sky," you argued.
"Just you wait and see." He nodded in confidence, and sat back, closing his eyes to signal that the conversation was over.
Your mother walked past with a basket of clean laundry. "Omma," you called after her. "Do you think it's gonna rain?"
"I trust what your grandfather says," she answered simply.
You sighed. "Well what do I do with the wet clothes then?"
"I don't know! Figure something out!"
You sighed again and studied your situation. Grandfather could be wrong. But even if he was, it was still wrong to not honor him by taking his advice. And then there was the possiblity that he was right. You didn't think he was, but it was best to be safe.
You looked up at the clothes line and an idea hit you.
******
The rain made a soothing sound as it hit the roof. Usually, you loved the sound of the rain. But right now, your face held a stubborn frown. You hated to admit that your grandfather was right. At least you had taken care of the clothes.
Lightning flashed across the sky. Thunder crashed overhead. You jumped, nearly spilling your tea and causing your younger brother to snicker. You weren't scared of the thunder, it just took you by surprise.
You jumped again when there was a few loud knocks on the door, this time successfully spilling your tea on your skirt. It sounded like someone, or someones were begging to be let in. You looked at your father and he got up to answer the door.
Who would possibly be visiting at this hour during this storm?
(Ryeowook's POV)
"Admit it!" Heechul said, throwing his arms up. "We're lost!"
"We're not lost!" Siwon argued.
"Who even let you be the navagator?" Heechul accused.
"You're the one driving!"
"Guys stop arguing," Leetuk interjected.
"No! Don't make them stop! I find it quite intresting," Kyuhyun said.
"You just find it amusing!" Heechul snapped.
"That would be accurate to say too!" Kyuhyun smiled innocently.
I sighed and looked at Sungmin. He sighed and rolled his eyes, looking out the window as he did to watch the falling rain.
We were on a road trip. The plan was to go to a remote hiking area. Well, we hadn't made it to that place yet, and now we were lost. It was already after sundown. Actually, maybe not. But the rainclouds made it feel that way.
The van stopped with a lurch. One of Kyuhyun's hands gripped my wrist. From Sungmin's expression, I could tell that the other hand was gripping Sungmin's.
Heechul tried turning the key multiple times, all while yelling at Siwon and Leetuk, but it didn't work. The van was not gonna start. "Did you check the gas gauge?" Donghae asked.
