I felt as if someone had stabbed me. My baby sis. I couldn't watch her being hurt.
"Get off her, you bitch," I said pushing Katie away from Hadley.
Hadley wasn't there anymore.
"You know you can't save anyone, don't you?" Katie said laughing.
"I will save them. I am stronger than you all," I said.
"Who do you think is gonna help you? Alexia or your grandparents?"
"Count your days Wendy." Was all I said.
I never understood why any of these spirits couldn't harm me.
Maybe because I was Tara's reincarnation.
If I am that strong then maybe I can save my family too.
I got up and went to find Amelia.
She was neither in the verandah nor in any of the rooms.
I knew where I had to go.
The attic.
I quickly ran upstairs.
And there she was. Sitting on her knees, holding the Ouija board.
"Amelia?"
She looked up. Her eyes were reflecting a bloodshot glare.
"You can't do anything. It's already over," she said.
"It's not over. Not until I want it to get over," I said.
I took the Ouija board and was about to tear it into pieces, when I felt my feet rising above the floor.
I felt claustrophobic. I couldn't breathe.
I struggled hard to free myself but it seemed impossible.
Amelia was laughing.
"Tara also died the same way, just that she was hung down that tree. Exactly how you are going to die in your realm," she said.
"Stay away from Lisa. Put her down right now."
I fell down with a thud but immediately turned around to see who it was.
