"What do you want to do with those prisoners, milady?" the head general asked the queen in her throne.

"I want their deaths immediately. I want their execution to serve as the people's lesson that to go against our kingdom is not a good thing to do," the queen said menacingly.

"What time is the execution, if I may ask?" the general asked. The queen smiled evilly.

"First thing in the morning. I want you to gather the people around the square to see all those prisoners get killed as they defy the new queen," Cassiopeia said.

"Right away, milady," the commander agreed and stepped out of the palace hall. She finally took her mother's throne as her mother passed away. At last, she won't be shackled under anyone's care anymore, especially her father. Her father who is cruel to her and her mother. In front of everyone, he seemed to be the righteous and kind king. But behind close doors, his true colors shone brightly.

With the dark sorceress' help, she defeated her cruel father but her soul must be tainted with evil to defeat the greater evil which was her father himself. She slain him with the cursed dagger which is the sorceress' greatest weapon.

She may be a villain but after she killed her own father, she was scared to her wits. However, the sorceress took pity on her and gave her a condition. That she is to escape the curse of being a villain if she finds true love. At first, she believe and hope that she will find it sooner or later. But now, as she think about the condition, she just laugh inwardly and thought to herself, "Hope has left you ever since you killed your own father, Cassiopeia."

That's bitter but that's her life ever since that day. After pondering about things, she stood up from the throne and stepped out of the palace hall. She went to the maze garden, where only she knows how to navigate. It's a gift from Calyx in her 21st birthday. Because in their town, 21 is everyone's coming of age whether you are a boy or a girl. And that time, she already killed her father and her mother died because of a disease. Since then, Calyx, became a family figure to her. She is in the room at the middle of the maze when the bell beside the door rang. It only means that someone calls for her. She grabbed a small dagger placed in the wooden table and immediately made way to the end of the maze.

Being familiar with the maze for 4 years, she easily came out of it. Since it is from Calyx, the maze has magic within its walls and only lets her in unless she invited someone in it.  At the end of the maze, an unfamiliar messenger with green and black clothes stopped her.

"Where do you come from, messenger? I don't know any kingdom with clothes like that," she said scrutinizing the messenger's appearance carefully.

"Tis confidential to say anything, mistress. But my Lord wants to meet you at the forest," the messenger says.

"Then, pray tell, who is your Lord, messenger? For I do not meet with strangers who have strange wishes," she demanded from him. The messenger winced, obviously scared of what Cassiopeia can do.

"I am very sorry, mistress for the Lord does not wish to reveal his identity directly. He just says, that he is from the Southern Kingdom, the kingdom underneath the Trees. Please forgive me but we are bound in secrecy," the messenger answers. Cassiopeia smiles at the messenger's loyalty. However, she still won't meet with the Lord.

"Is that all?" she asked him. He nodded. Cassiopeia smiled sweetly.

"Then, tell him, I won't come. I won't meet with a dishonest Lord. You can go now. My soldiers will accompany you to the gates. Good day, messenger," she said coldly and turned her back at him. She can't risk herself, especially now that power is in her hands now. A dishonest Lord won't do any good for her. Then, she turned to the remaining soldiers.

"I want you to finalize everything for the execution," she demanded. The soldiers nodded. She smiled coldly.
