DC is one of the main characters in a story I'm attempting to write when I have free time from work and screaming at my own fanfiction. Since PreHeaven hasn't been brought up, I will include information of the world first.
PreHeaven is the name DC has gotten the collective people in the world to call Limbo. The world is surrounded in heavy fog and water making seeing any possibility of other islands impossible. Trying to sail beyond into the fog will land you docking right where you left off when the fog clears. Most of the town like purgatory is run by a man named Joseph and his proclaimed lover, Mary. Although most people are fine with this Mayor, DC has a small disdain for him and often warns the Protagonist against believing what Joseph tells him.
When one arrives in PreHeaven, they awake in a dimly lit pocket surrounded by shading trees. Other inhabitants often will leave clothes at the Wake for new comers to wear since most arrive with out anything. Out side the Wake is a long dirt trail surrounded by woods that heads directly to the town. If you head straight forward you will reach the library often full of knowledge on the world. It's 3 stories high and the third story is often closed off do to reconstruction. To the right of the forest in town is a maze of a garden. First timers often worry of getting lost but anyone who enters can leave safely arrive to the other side or even back out as long as thats what they want. People in a hurry are able to pass quivker than those with out worry of having to get out. But the Protagonist will shocking never see a maze,instead it's just a clear path of hedges leaving from town to the housing blocks. (Left side of town is still under thought) People inside of PreHeaven often don't recall their past lives which makes moving on difficult. People who land in PreHeaven are their because they died with a strong belief or for that belief. In order to move on they must see that belief come true. DC claims she knows what her belief is but will often avoid saying what it is but will answer none the less.
"I don't mind not moving on, I like it here with all my friends!"

"Here's a deal! I'll tell you mine when you figure out what yours is!"
If you ask anyone they will know exactly who DC is, but most will be unable to tell you where she lives. That isn't a problem for the Protagonist as she shows him the house that was made for her in the woods by another character I'll be sure to add named Exhaust.
