I walk into the convenience store and head towards the noodle aisle I accidentally bump into someone in my rush. I apologize and see that it's Logan. I turn to go somewhere else but he stops me.
"Hey, Erica." Dude, why art thou talking to me? "I just wanted to say that I like you- I mean the way you stood up to Erin like that. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do what you did today. I'm really sorry about having to you know, but I honestly think you're one of the coolest people ever and I like yo- that."
It takes all of my willpower not to cringe as hard as humanly possible. I try to be polite but my reply comes out very unnatural and strained.
"Thanks," I say drawing out the a and ignoring the fact he basically confessed. "If it weren't for you, I would still think that Erin was my friend." I start moving away from him and say "I'd love to sit here and chat all day, but I have stuff to do so I gotta go" as if this situation wasn't awkward enough. I call over my shoulder while walking away "Don't forget to do your part of the project!" and then disappear down the aisle, luckily I had already grabbed what I needed.
After going to the register with all of my groceries and paying for them, I rushed out of the store hoping not to run into him again. I mean, he was still my bully. I put in my earbuds and quickly walked home. I was pretty hungry from all of the things I had done so when I got home I rushed down to the kitchen to cook.
First, I put on some rice in the rice cooker after making sure it was clean. Then, I pulled out my favorite pot and started making the ramen. After deciding that just having rice and ramen wasn't the best idea in the world, I decided to cook some chicken and vegetables to go along. After I was finished cooking, I served myself and then put everything that was left over into small containers and popped them in the fridge for lunch the rest of the week.
After eating, I washed the dishes and wiped the stove to make sure everything was clean. I could see her watching me cook and clean with a huge smile on her face. My mother watching me adult with pride. ([A/N] Yes Adulting is a verb. Well, in this case, it is.) Too bad her husband couldn't do the same, as he was wallowing in self-pity in his office.
Since I had already finished my part of the project, I decided to watch Bangtan bombs instead of studying. I open my computer to see a new Bangtan Bomb had been uploaded while I was in school.
Jimin is behind the camera and is following Jungkook around. At some point, he leaves Jungkook with Taehyung and starts to go bug his hyungs. First, he goes to Jin and insyead of bugging his hyung, Jin tells a bunch of dad jokes and Jimin starts dying of laughter. After they stop laughing, he leaves to go visit Namjoon.
Namjoon seems to be looking at something on his phone so Jimin moves the camera to show what he's looking at. I pause it and scream a little. He's looking at my photo. I look at the date for the bomb. It's the day I uploaded the last photo. I look at my phone that's been on silent since my dad texted and see that I've been getting hella notifications from instagram. Scrolling through the comments under the video, I see a bunch saying to either send me hate messages or follow me because I have a cool page. I wish they had blurred Namjoon's phone so that my instagram wouldn't have been broadcast to the whole world.
I immediately make my page private and start going through all of the comments and dms I had gotten. Most of them were concerning how Namjoon knew me, some of them were really nice and told me they thought my photos were great, and some were extremely hateful and scary. I really hoped that Bighit would take care of everything properly.
Hey yall, a bitch is back, and that bitch is me.
Andy :p
