JORIE GWEN LANCASTER

JORIE SAT IN HER HOTEL ROOM holding a cup of water in her hand as she watched whatever was on the tv. She didn't pay attention to what was on the screen, because she was thinking carefully to herself.

She knew that Jace wouldn't end up with her in the end, because this wasn't a fanfiction. This was real life. Jace and Bela did say they were taking a break for a while and never actually broke up, from what she has been researching recently. They should be getting back together any time now.

A light knock was heard at the door, making Jorie look towards it. She unraveled the covers from her body and placed the glass she was holding on the bedside table. She checked the time on her phone and noticed it was almost seven.

Her bare pitter-pattered across the carpeted floor. She held her arm as she pulled the door open. There were the soft brown eyes and golden hair that made her heart flutter at the sight of.

Heat rose to her face as she motioned for him to come in. He dragged his golden retriever into the room, the pup quickly jumping on Jorie, licking her. He had grown fond of her. Jorie bent down and let the dog lick her face as she smiled and said sweet nothings to him.

Jace's smile grew from ear to ear watching the adorable sight in front of him. His girl and his dog. The two most important things to him.

Jorie straightened herself back up and looked at him. He quickly closed the door behind them and looked back into her eyes. He wrapped his arms around the small girl. She jumped in his arms and first and then smiled and wrapped her skinny arms around the boy's waist.

"Are you okay?" He asked Jorie. She nodded, her head against his shoulder. He held her closer. "Good."

They got out of each other's grasp and looked at each other, their faces inches apart. Jace coughed and looked around, noticing she was alone.

"Where are the other three?" He questioned. She looked down and started walking towards the bed where she was resting before.

"They went to go get pizza. Jane felt bad for what happened and she wanted to make me feel better," Jorie explained to him. He followed her and sat on the edge of the bed, while Henry jumped on it, laying down.

Jace looked down at his hands in his lap and sighed. "I'm really sorry about Bela. She shouldn't have said those things, but I know she means the best."

Jorie felt a ping inside of her chest at those words, but she thought about it. Maybe she is just looking out for him, maybe he was her first love and she doesn't want his heart broken. She knows that things that Isabela had said weren't true, but they still hurt.

It was Wednesday and Jorie couldn't wait to leave on Friday. She knew that it sounded bad, but she couldn't stand all this drama that started happening, all because she DM'd him on Instagram.

She felt as if she would cry. She was going to miss him, but she also knew that whatever was left in the relationship was gone, shouldn't be a thing. Jace and Bela are supposed to be together, right? Not Jace and some random fan girl he met.
