The Severus Situation

So let me share this tiny piece of information: no matter how Snape ended up in the books/movies, it does not make me admire him (not even in the least). I still hate Snape and I always will (now Alan Rickman was a brilliant actor and no offense is intended towards him, I'm talking about the character Severus Snape, FYI). And I seriously do NOT ship SNILY. Siriusly, NO.

Whenever I see the excuse Snily shippers give that James was an arrogant peacock with an inflated ego and was an incorrigible bully, I literally want to hex someone that instant.

Fine, I do accept it: James Potter was a bully and he was arrogant but he changed. He improved his ways for Lily. He did all he could to redeem himself.

And what is there to say for Snivellus dearest? He was a bully too. Yes, that's a fact. But the point that matters is that James mended his ways while Snape remained an incorrigible bully. I mean, he bullies students for no particular reason day and night to such an extent that poor adorable Neville's boggart takes his form. Any objection to that? Mention in the comments.

Secondly, I honestly don't think that Snape actually loved Lils. It was all in all an obsession which was borderline unhealthy. If you love someone, you don't call her a Mudblood, okay? If you love someone, you wish for her to be happy with you or without you. It doesn't make a difference if you have to let her go as long as she is happy. If you love someone, you do all you can to protect that person and her loved ones.

Snape forwarded the prophecy, which Sybil Trelawney made, to Vouldymouldy in hopes of getting rid of James and Harry. Did he honestly expect her to be happy and normal without James and Harry? Did he honestly expect her to join him after that even though he was a Death Eater and working for the cause that resulted in her son and husband's death? I told you, borderline unhealthy. More than just unhealthy.

Well... It's getting really long and there are so many words I want to write on this but time isn't in my favor today.

As a conclusion:

You think Snape loved Lily and deserved her more than James? Well, think twice.

Snape longed for her but James died for her.

Case closed.
