*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

I groaned and reached my hand over, shutting my alarm off. The first day of my Sophomore year is here. I pulled my blanket over my head, dreading the start of the school year.

It took me 15 minutes to get out of bed but, I eventually got up, getting dressed and lazily brushing through my thick curls. I walked downstairs, bringing my bag with me. I was greeted by my father, frantically grabbing his coat off of the hook by the door and kissing my forehead goodbye. I shook my head as he walked out, he's always late. I dropped my bag onto the floor and went over to my cabinets, pulling the box of Cheerios out and making myself a bowl.

A few minutes later, I heard several honks coming from outside. I shoved a few more spoonfuls of cereal into my mouth, grabbed my bag, and ran out of my front door. Waiting at the end of my driveway was my best friend, Maya Dovey. We've known each other since second grade when I first moved here.

I got into her car and smiled, "Hey, blondie."

"Hey, weirdo." She smiled back.

I closed the door and put my seat belt on before she drove off.

We got to Hell quite quickly, considering I only live 10 minutes from the school. As soon as I stepped out of the car I saw him. My unbelievably attractive, man whore of a friend, Jackson. I scowled when I saw Sierra stroll toward him. It took about three seconds before they were eating each other's faces.

Maya saw me looking and laughed, "Ah, young love."

I shot her a glare and stuck my finger in my mouth, fake gagging. We walked up the stairs and I flicked Jackson's forehead, making them separate. Sierra looked at me, obviously irritated. That made me grin on the inside. "So, ready for another year?"

He laughed a little and nodded, "Only if you are."

The three of us walked into the building in a line, Sierra trying to slide between Jackson and I. It was gonna be a long day.
