"Come to me angel of music
I am your angel of music."
I heard the singing as soon as I stepped close to Christine Daae's door. I touched the knob, but almost ignored it, instead, I listened, and abruptly the singing stopped, cut off.
I opened it now, noticing an open mirror. I couldn't dare to follow whoever this was, but curiosity sent me to the limit.
"Christine?
Christine?"
I sang out. The mirror abruptly shut and I jumped.
I ran back to the empty opera stage and found Raoul.
"Raoul, Raoul, something is wrong with Christine.
She's no longer in her room and she had seemed to forgotten everything.
An angel of music took her from her bed.
With the songs from his soul dancing through her head."
I sang to him, shaking his head. He gripped the sides of my shoulders tightly and shook me once,
"Brighten, Brighten....
Settle down, child.
An angel of music?"
He sang. I could only nod at him and he ran.
"If only he knew how strong the angel was.
He'd allow her to stay and take someone else."
I walked slowly along the sidewalk where I found a bridge, and a man a ways away from me, the night sky only illuminating the lantern in his hand. He had a porcelain mask covering half of his face, or so I saw.
I followed, creeping across the bridge to follow him. I tried to keep quiet, but I stumbled and a noose caught my throat.
"Ignorant soul, you follow softly,
What do I dare call you?
Ignorant full! You seem so sad now!
Last words are yours, child."
His song frightened me, lightly breaking my breathing as I listened. His voice, like his mask, was sheer porcelain. I had to turn slightly to see him. His eyes, though dark in the night, still we're showing blue.
"Brighten is the name you can use, I merely followed you." I whispered through the noose.
He stood, and spoke, slipping the noose from my neck.
"Brighten.... Come with me."
He walked me past the bridge and put me in a boat, pushing the boat past candles and thick blackened water.
He stepped out of the boat and pulled me close, allowing me to stand on his feet while he walked.
"Phantom-"
"No speaking. I won't allow you to speak. not now."
"Phantom?" I asked.
He paused, placing me on a bed. He then sat on the edge of the bed and I touched his hand.
"Father once spoke of an angel,
I used to dream he'd appear
Now as I sing I stare at him
And I know you're real."
He smiled and touched his hand to my face, moving a black strand of hair from my face. He proceeded to move, grabbing a mirror.
